Glamping pod @Merlwood Farm nr Shawbury (hot tub)

Relax in your own little pod, set in a 5 acre field with adjoining woodland for walks. 1km from the village of Shawbury with a fantastic farm shop, co-op, bakery and more, it will take 30mins to walk. Our only neighbours are horses. The private (no other guests) wood-fired hot tub is £60 extra, not included in nightly rate. The shared shower/WC pod and well-equipped kitchen are a short walk. We have another pod and bell tent on site, so you could be sharing the WC & kitchen with 6 others. The space 'Woodland' Pod- features double bed, customised height to ensure bedtime landscape views from the picture window, whilst creating maximum underbed storage. Blinds to window and door provide privacy. Electric overhead light, sockets/USB and portable heater for a comfortable stay. There is no A/C. There is a small hanging space as well as cupboards and basket for shoes. Bed is made prior to arrival by host, and towels supplied. The shower pod is not suitable for the larger than average person. Hot Tub- off grid wood-fired (no chemicals or jets) rented at an additional charge of £60 per stay (payment taken by cash/card on arrival). Water is changed after two days, fresh between guests. Dressing robes and towels provided. Guest access This is a working farm with livestock (horse, chickens and ducks), so there are areas that aren't accessible to guests for their own safety. Due to planning restrictions, it's not been possible to design the glamping experience to be accessible to all. That said, we are a truly inclusive family. We take pride in welcoming all; specifically people with disabilities, families and guests from the LGBTQ+ community. Other things to note Parking is provided on the gravel area, no cars on the glamping field as this is for pedestrians only, ensuring a safe play area for children. We provide a BBQ and separate firepit if weather is suitable, for example periods of high winds and/or drought means we can't risk an open fire.
