"Lion's Lair" on the 2nd floor of "Maison Nelle Botanique" combines comfort and style. Large windows provide natural light, with blinds for privacy. The studio features a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, a fully equipped kitchen, TV, and a luxurious bed with a 25 cm mattress, 5 cm memory foam topper, down pillows, and a hypoallergenic wool duvet (cool in summer/warm in winter). Located in the vibrant 💚 of Mechelen, close to culinary hotspots such as "De Vleeshalle" (indoor food market). The space Maison Nel(le) Botanique is a stylish and charming building from 1863 that pays homage to both the botanical ambiance and the timeless muse Nel, of artist Rik Wouters. Located on Rik Woutersstraat, where the artist couple lived around the early 20th century, the property exudes a harmonious blend of nature and creativity. In 2024, it underwent a sustainable renovation, respecting both its heritage and modern energy standards. The neighborhood offers the perfect balance between tranquility and vibrant city life. Just a stone’s throw away is the shopping street and ‘De Vleeshalle,’ a popular indoor food truck market where visitors can enjoy a variety of culinary delights. This makes the area ideal for lovers of gastronomy and conviviality. For guests, there are several parking options available, both paid and free. The most appealing option is the large free parking lot at 'De Loods,' just a 10-minute walk away. The building features seven unique studios, each with its own animal theme: Moose Mountain, Whisker Woods, Monkeytown, Lion's Lair, Badger Hill, Fancy Fox, and Bunny Burrow. Spread across three floors, these studios are fully equipped with comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs, private kitchens, and modern en-suite bathrooms, providing guests with a high level of comfort and privacy. On the ground floor, guests can relax in the communal lounge area or enjoy the cozy terrace. The building is fitted with large windows featuring solar control film on the exterior and interior blinds where necessary, ensuring that the spaces remain light, fresh, and pleasant at all times. Maison Nel(le) Botanique offers a unique experience, where a botanical atmosphere and modern comfort come together in a quiet street, right in the city center, with a subtle tribute to the timeless muse Nel. Guest access Guests of Maison Nelle Botanique gain access to the building through a convenient and secure system. Upon arrival, they can open the front door by entering a code on a keypad. Additionally, each studio has its own key box, which can also be opened with a personal code. Both codes are provided to guests on the day of arrival, allowing them to easily and independently access both the building and their studio. Other things to note For each stay up to 7 days, we provide the following per guest as standard: 1 set of bed linen, 2 large towels, 2 small towels, 1 bath mat, and 1 kitchen towel. For stays longer than 7 days, an additional package is provided for each extra week, along with an extra cleaning service (once every 7 days). An additional bed and bath linen package is available upon request for €20 (excluding cleaning and bed-making). Requests must be made prior to arrival.
