The space You’ll be welcomed into a generous hallway where vibrant art a-dawns the walls, you’ll have your own stairway leading to your two rooms which are cozy, warm, flattering in colour and offer you a morning sunrise or an evening sunset both of which can be exceptional ! You’ll share several designer spaces including a spa bathroom with harmonious lighting, a purpose-built shower room , a small but perfectly imagined WC complete with golden carp! You’ll have access to a beautifully appointed, well equipped kitchen with panoramic views on three sides. You’ll have access to an expansive view of an area of outstanding natural beauty which you can enjoy from one of 4 patio areas, enjoy some fresh air, peace and quiet, a feeling of complete peace and calm and in the summer hide away in a hammock or two. You’ll meet the cat she’s called Trixie and she loves nothing more than to be petted (You have been warned). Street parking (safe village) and by arrangement as an additional cost you can charge an electric vehicle. If space allows you will be able to park on the drive but it’s not guaranteed. There will be times when you will have sole use of the family bathroom. It will depend on when you are booking and which family members are in or out of the house at that time. You will be sharing the house with me your host and at times, my daughters. We are an incredibly artistic household, enjoying the visual arts and the performing arts. As a keen interior ‘space’ designer, I have fashioned my home to reflect my love of space and my love of light to create calm and comfortable spaces to live, work and relax in. We hope very much that you will come and stay with us and interact as much or as little as you wish. A simple breakfast will be provided down in the family kitchen which you can take on a tray up to your private lounge or enjoy hanging out in the open plan living space. A tea and coffee station will be in your own lounge …take up milk from the main fridge as and when you need. Guest access You have shared use the open plan Kitchen and Lounge area. The main Bathroom and Shower Room. Your own bedroom and private Lounge upstairs. During your stay We are friendly!!! We will take your lead on how much interaction you want or need! You’ll get a full welcome and tour you so know where everything is and you’ll be encouraged to open drawers in the kitchen to find what you need! We operate school hours during the week and have plenty of weekend hobbies… we like the occasional lazy Sunday … Other things to note Just 7 minutes from Junction 5 of the M25, 30 minutes on the train from London Charing Cross to Sevenoaks and then, if getting a taxi, around a 5 minute drive to Sevenoaks Weald. We are perfectly situated for country walks right from the door step, so if you want to get away for a few days and leave everything for a break in nature, this place is it, without having to spend too much time getting here! Perfect location if you are heading to Kent for a wedding. We are close to Penshurst Place, St Julians, Riverhill Himalayan Gardens, Hever Castle, Bore Place, Chiddingstone Castle, Chartwell or any of the churches and reception venues in the picturesque surrounding villages. Within easy reach of south east based National Trust, English Heritage and historic days out. You can enjoy Chartwell, Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, Sissinghurst, Emmetts Gardens and Lullingstone Castle to name a few. You'll also be a 1 hour drive from Rye or Hastings for some sea air and great places to eat. We also have plenty of Vinyards and they make a great day out - followed by a sun downer and a fire pit here!We welcome bookings from any gender any denomination to share our home space. We are keen to welcome guests who have a good track record with reviews. We value good communication and we prefer to get a feel for you and the reason for your visit before confirming a booking. On occasion we may decline your booking in the main house and instead offer you the same rates in our independent annex, listed on Airbnb (The Weald Studio). This is to ensure that any specific family needs that cannot be predicted in advance are prioritised. This also ensures your stay is as perfect as can be! Call it a free upgrade!
