The area has a long history as an active fishing village, and since the Middle Ages Borgvåg has been a place where fishermen sought shelter, dried their catch, and built a small community around the seasonal cod fisheries. Although fishing is less dominant today, the maritime heritage is still evident in the landscape – from old boathouse foundations to traditional boat landings. Today, Villa Borgvåg is a newly renovated and spacious holiday home that blends this historic setting with modern comfort. Spanning two floors, the villa is perfect for families, groups of friends, or small gatherings. Room Description Bedrooms: The property features a total of 7 bedrooms. Two are large master bedrooms with comfortable double beds. Each of these also connects to an additional smaller bedroom located inside, with its own door but with passage through the larger bedroom – perfect as children’s rooms or for close companions. There are also two additional smaller bedrooms with single beds. An extra double bedroom is located on the ground floor, which can be opened for groups of up to 14 people or on special occasions, available at an additional cost. Bathrooms: Three brand-new bathrooms (2025) provide excellent comfort for larger groups. All are modern, fitted with clean lines, bright tiles, and high-quality fixtures – with a total of 3 showers throughout the house. Kitchen: The heart of the home is a large, bright, and fully equipped modern kitchen. It is well-suited for shared cooking or for private chefs who can prepare tailored meals. Living Rooms: The villa offers two cozy living rooms. One is spacious, with large windows facing the sea – ideal for social gatherings. The other is more intimate, perfect for relaxing evenings with games, conversation, or a book. Outdoor Areas: A large terrace and sun deck offer panoramic views of the sea and mountains, where you can enjoy the midnight sun in summer or the northern lights in winter. Unique Features Villa Borgvåg has a private wood-fired sauna located right by the sea. Here you can alternate between soothing heat and refreshing dips in the ocean – an experience that provides both relaxation and revitalization. The sauna can be rented as an additional service during your stay. Guest access Guests have access to all rooms and areas of the house on the first floor, except for one bedroom. This room is typically locked but could be rented for an extra fee when accommodating a group of 14 people.
