Description
Croeso i Dŷ Nen 1! Welcome to Tŷ Nen 1, my little slice of my homeland in the village where I was born and brought up just a stone’s throw away. This is where I return to recharge, relax and connect to nature and the culture of Cymru and I hope you will too. Come to: ride the bike trails hike in the beautiful Cwmcarn Forest Drive catch a game at the Millenium Stadium or a concert at Cardiff Castle and more. Feel at home if you’re working away. You're assured of a welcome in the valleys! The space Come on in to my cosy cottage! It’s self check-in so your arrival time can be flexible. There is off road parking. NB There are steps no matter which entrance you use to the house. From the front gate you walk the path through a cottage garden with roses. At the door you’ll walk into the lounge which has a beamed ceiling. The wood burner is currently only decorative but the heating system and radiators will keep you warm. The TV has a Roku stick for access to all the major streaming channels . We have fibre broadband and a desk, lamp and chair for working. One of the sofas is a sofa bed for accommodating 2 people. Pass through the wooden door, down a small step and you’re in the newly installed kitchen with cupboards, induction hob, fitted microwave and oven on the right. To the left is the freestanding fridge/ freezer and ceramic sink. As you walk further into the kitchen you’ll see a sliding door into the bathroom with radiator, towel rail, toilet, basin, mirror, storage shelves and bath with shower overhead. The water pressure is great! At the end of the bright kitchen which has two large windows, is a folding dining table and two chairs for a cosy supper or quick lunch. There’s a higher farmhouse stool - great for a morning cuppa watching the world. French windows lead out to the patio and down to the parking area. Also off the kitchen is a narrow, steep staircase leading to the sunny bedroom offering views of waving trees from its three windows. We have a double bed, bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe with full length mirror, chest of drawers with mirror on the top. Guest access Guests have the entire house to themselves. I may need access to the cottage next door which is accessed via a right of way through the garden, but this should not inconvenience guests.
