Dartmoor Potting Shed

Adventure awaits you in this rustic getaway. Keep snug and warm after a day's walking or cycling on and around West Dartmoor. Ideal for those who love peace and quiet and the outdoors, all within easy reach of Tavistock. The Potting Shed has been refurbished with mainly recycled materials. Cheers, Tom The space The Potting Shed, formerly an old trap/workshop and potting shed located in the garden of Down House Farm. There are many amenities available here at the farm, however, your main amenity is the Dartmoor National Park, which is on your doorstep. The accommodation consists of a boot room, galley kitchenette, double bed, sitting room, and shower room. There's a kettle, air fryer, mini oven and hob, fridge, tea, coffee etc. plus a heated clothes horse. You have access to a lovely patio, fire pit and rustic indoor heated swimming pool (Please note that you will have to sign a waiver to use the pool at your own risk). The pool heating system is turned off September - April. It is still available to swim in when it is unheated but please bear in mind that it will no longer be 30 degrees! Guest access Guests have shared access to a parking spot and patio with a fire pit and BBQ. There is a large, shared garden for reading and quiet relaxation. We have EV chargers available, but please ask about availability, as we have two EVs ourselves. Other things to note We have two electric bikes that can be borrowed at your own risk. We also have 3 friendly dogs who do roam in between our home and the garden as they please. Two senior border collies Basil, and Jack, and a big fluff ball, our Pyreenean Mika.
