Built in 1932, before the war, it was inhabited by the family of a local carpenter who lived there with his seamstress wife and two sons. Next to the house there was a workshop and a mill, which powered a water turbine for carpentry machines, and flowing further it powered the mill wheel. The plot was adjacent to a tavern (non-existent) on one side and to the buildings of the Border Guard (fully preserved) on the other. The current borders of Poland are an exact representation of the German-Czech borders from before the war. From here, just beyond the current Polish border, we find a network of fortifications and huge bunkers, built in the 1930s. They still exist and are mostly open to tourists. After the war, the house had several owners, and in the 1970s it became a rectory for a nearby church. This lasted until 2005. We bought it that year. The next year was spent on a major renovation and in December 2006 we spent our first Christmas there. Pisary is a tiny village located at the very southern end of the Śnieżnik Massif. Less than 100 inhabitants live permanently in the village. It is a chain village about 4 km long, located in the Upper Nysa Trench, on the border of the Międzylesie Upland, at an altitude of about 510-570 m above sea level. Pisary (then Schreibendorf) was established in the second half of the 16th century on the territory of Międzylesie. In 1787 there were 97 houses, including a school and a water mill, and 24 linen workshops. In the first half of the 19th century, the village was a weaving center, in 1840 there were 107 houses, a church, a Catholic school, 2 water mills, an oil mill and a distillery. At the end of the century, Pisary became popular among tourists going to Trójmorski Wierch and Śnieżnik. The house stands on a plot of over 2000 m2. The area is completely fenced and adjoins the side asphalt road. A long porch leads to the entrance of the house. Downstairs there is a spacious corridor, a large living room with a fireplace, a kitchen with a dining room, a bathroom with a shower and a double bedroom. From the dining room, you can go to the terrace, which is located at the back of the house on the south side. The terrace is covered with an open pergola. There is a large concrete barbecue next to the terrace. In the garden there is an open fireplace for organizing bonfires. The entire area is densely planted with mixed trees, which are home to countless species of birds. There are also quite rare, black-brown squirrels. Upstairs, we offer two triple bedrooms and a toilet. The windows in the upper bedrooms face east and you can see the Trójmorski Wierch from them.
