Lodge in unique fjord
Description
Book a property in one of the most spectacular fjords in Norway – Finnafjorden. The fjord is a fjord arm off Sognefjorden, the «King of the Fjords», and is a small, but very private fjord. The seemingly untouched fjord, surrounded by steep mountains and gushing waterfalls hides a very small settlement – Finnabotnen. The perfect setting to experience Norway at her finest. Excellent for holidays with family or friends, celebrations and other occasions as well as corporate trips. The space Finnabotnen is an old settlement at the bottom of Finnafjorden surrounded by 800-1000 meter high mountains and waterfalls. This is the "entrance" to Stølsheimen Nature Preserve Area which has a multitude of fantastic hiking opportunities. A hike in the mountains around the Finnafjord offers some breathtaking views of Finnafjorden and Sognefjorden. The old farm contains two small cottages, an old barn, a three bedroom villa and a large lodge with 9 double bedrooms. The villa and the large lodge are for rent. Please refer to the profile of the villa if you wish to book that property. The lodge is made up of three floors and contains a large social area/bar on the ground floor, large kitchen, large dining area, 9 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a large terrace overlooking the fjord and mountains. The large terrace is furnished with outdoor seating and tables, a large BBQ and an iron fire pit. The property is well equipped with all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. For entertainment the lodge features a flat screen TV with a DVD player and Nintendo Wii, as well as a Geneva sound system. There are plenty of DVDs, CDs, games, board games, books and games for outdoor use available. Some basic fishing equipment is also available, however for the eager fisherman we recommend to bring additional equipment. The property also has two inflatable kayaks (will be inflated upon arrival), two SUP boards and water skis that guests can use. For hikes guests we have available backpacks, thermoses, sit mats and BBQ sticks. Other things to note There are no roads leading into Finnabotnen and as such you need to take a ferry, RIB or rent a boat for transportation. Please note that it is no phone signal or wifi at the property.
