Cosy barn conversion for 2 in a quiet rural conservation area surrounded by a network of country lanes and public footpaths yet only 15 minutes from the M1. An ideal base for an interesting and varied break exploring the nearby spectacular Peak District and the stunning Derbyshire Dales. Next to the owner’s house, the Barn has a private entrance into a charming downstairs living space with a log burner & stairs up to a comfortable bedroom, en-suite shower and balcony. Up to 2 dogs welcome. The space Enter through a stable door into the downstairs living area with a high vaulted ceiling including the original cruck beam dating back to medieval times. This spacious room has a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table looking out over the garden and armchairs next to the log burner and t.v. Stairs off the living room lead up to the bedroom suite with a king sized bed, en-suite shower room, sofa and a second television. French doors open from the bedroom onto the south facing balcony where you can sit and enjoy the views over the garden and the surrounding countryside beyond. Outside there is a seating area under the balcony with an outdoor table, chairs and a BBQ. From here you can stroll up to our 2 acre meadow and take in the view across 5 counties. With fully stock proof fencing this is a great place to exercise your dogs. Guest access Steps up to the Barn and inside mean the accommodation is not appropriate for those with accessibility needs. Other things to note Please note that this is a quiet hamlet in a very rural area. There is a pub within walking distance (about 20 minutes) but no other shops or amenities on the door step. The nearest village is Crich - 5 minutes away by car where there are pubs, a corner shop, a butchers and a bakery - Loaf. Matlock is about 10 minutes drive. Due to all of the steps in and around the property, it is unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility issues.
