Spirit Level Holiday House 60's Beach Cottage
Spirit Level Holiday House 60's Beach Cottage
Description
Modernised 60's beach house with classic touches, a bit like staying at the grandparents holiday house. We have private jetty mooring available for your boat about 200m from the house. Everyone loves the location - just a one minute walk from the centre of town, pub, lake & shops, so convenient if you feel like a drink or meal or a choccy fix from the shops. Pet friendly, with lots of privacy featuring a unique nostalgic ambience! The space An old-fashioned holiday house perfect for families or couples, Spirit Level is a home-away-from-home with lots of little extras to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. We are a dedicated holiday property that is prepared professionally for guests with linen, bedding and towels all supplied, along with tea towels, liquid soap, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, basic pantry items - all you need to bring is your personal items! The kitchen is well equipped and there's a full sized 5 burner gas cooktop and electric oven, plus microwave, sandwich press, toaster and plenty of utensils and handy bits and pieces. The house is cosy over the cooler months with thermostat controlled electric heating plus a slow combustion wood fire. Firewood and kindling are all provided. The backyard is spacious with plenty of trees and the yard is fenced. Although there is a shed, we have it locked as we are still renovating the property and have all kind of debris in there! Outdoor sink with hot and cold water to prepare the catch of the day, plus a Gas BBQ on the patio. The patio does have a covered area where the table and chairs are. Guest access The whole house is yours for the duration of your stay. Other things to note We do have quite a lot of trinkets including 'coastal vintage' fragile stuff, vintage books, small paintings and more. Although we understand accidents happen, we are probably not be the best choice for families with toddlers. We DO NOT have air conditioning. We do have fans and being reasonably close to the water we find the house quite breezy except on those very extreme days, which luckily are pretty rare in Mallacoota. The lounge-dining area is split level with a single step in between, and the hallway has a 90 degree angle so we may not be suitable if you have serious mobility issues or use a walking frame. It is an older house and therefore a bit smaller than it's modern counterparts. Doorways are smaller and very tall people might struggle with the back patio! Also please note the jetty is not attached to the property. It is privately owned by the house but is located approximately 300m away on Coull's Inlet. We'd hate for you to be disappointed with your stay so please keep these things in mind before you book.
