Description
Cozy room, nice guests are very welcome! We (parents and son, 15 years old) are interested in many things, cosmopolitan and like to offer people from all over the world a hospitable accommodation. We have a lovely Labrador dog (Holly, see below). Convenient location, including Einbeck, Hanover/Messe and Göttingen. Beautifully located in the Leinebergland. Quiet retreat, but also well suited as a workspace with the laptop. Smoking, parties, and pets are not allowed. The space Welcome to our cozy room! We are an open-minded and sociable, but also quiet and working family (parents and son, 15 years old). We welcome nice guests from all over the world! It is very important for us that you feel safe and comfortable with us to have a nice and pleasant time. If something is of particular importance to you, please feel free to contact us in advance. A quiet retreat for leisure, recreation and pause, but also suitable as a technically well-equipped workspace (see below) with the laptop. Idyllic and quiet location in the gentle forest and hilly landscape of the Leinebergland. Convenient location (see below), among other things, Einbeck with its famous brewery and the beautiful medieval city center, Hanover/Messe and Göttingen. We kindly ask that you let us know if you have symptoms of infection (especially COVID-19) shortly before or upon arrival. It's important for us because unfortunately we both have chronic conditions. We can better adapt to this with additional measures. Please also notice our house rules. We have a dog (Holly, more to her below). We pay a lot of attention to cleanliness and do our best, but it can still happen that a few dog hairs can be found in places. If this bothers you and/or you don't like dogs, another accommodation may be better suited for you. More information about the place: We offer you a cozy room in our home, where we also live ourselves. So you can also get an impression of the life of a German family in the countryside! You can be completely alone with us, or feel free to get in touch, as you like. However, we are not professional landlords and ask you to treat our accommodation as if it were your own home. Before and during your stay, you can of course contact us with all questions, there is almost always one of us in the house or available. Please note that smoking (including from the inside of the window), pets, and parties are not allowed in this room. Since we have to get up early in the morning, we ask you to pay attention to peace in the evening after 10 p.m. (we have an open staircase). House/Garden/Rooms/Bathroom/Shared Kitchen/HOLLY: The detached house with central heating and garden is very quiet on the outskirts, and you can park directly with us for free. The forest can be reached on foot in just about 20 minutes. You are welcome to use the garden by arrangement, e.g. in good weather on the terrace or drink a coffee or the like in the shade of the trees. If it's not too windy, you can also play badminton in the garden, it's all there for that. Some time ago, we received the badge "Nature in the Garden". The room for one or two people (approx. 14 m², with lockable door) is located in the basement (one floor down in the stairwell) and has its own small bathroom (with toilet, shower, hairdryer, small sink and towels). The room is equipped with an insect screen by the window, a two-seat sofa, internet radio, smart TV (OLED) and a high-quality double bed made of solid beech (1.80 x 2.00 m; with slatted frames and premium mattresses). The duvets are made of organic cotton (from controlled organic cultivation, Öko-Tex Standard 100, sustainably and climate-neutral produced), with comfortable bedding. The pillows (50x70 cm) are technologically germ-free and allergen-free. Standard size (80x80 cm) pillows are also available. A washing machine and dryer are available, laundry can be washed for a fee, depending on the quantity. A beautiful desk (workspace) with customizable LED lighting is also in the room. An ergonomic office chair is of course also available if needed. Most usual office materials are available in the house, as well as a multifunction device (s/w laser printer, copier, scanner); a digital fax function is possible via the router. These things can be used by arrangement and depending on the scope. Internet access is available via Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 6/WiFi AX) at a speed of up to about 50 Mbps. A LAN connection (at the repeater) is available as well as network cable. Chargers for Android and Apple phones, a power bank and an Apple USB SuperDrive (with USB-C to USB-A adapter) are also provided. The basement is equipped with smoke, carbon monoxide, gas and water fields, a hand fire extinguisher is located in the middle of the house. The safety technology of the house also includes a three-stage surge protector (via lightning rod, sub-distribution and sockets). On the ground floor is our fully equipped kitchen, which can also be used (shared space). In addition to most usual kitchen appliances (including dishwasher, egg cooker, etc.), there are various ways to prepare coffee: infusion in the hand filter (our favorite), a French press and a normal coffee machine. Of course you can also make tea. We have a Labrador dog named Holly, who you are also welcome to use if needed;-). She is a friendly and good-natured creature and usually manages well with other people and also with children. At the first encounter, of course, she has to get to know you briefly, it may be that she may also bark (which she rarely does otherwise, she is a quiet dog). You don't have to worry about her, we're there of course, and making friends with her is very easy, we'll have a treat or a cheek for her if you like :-). Due to hygiene, however, it generally does not have access to the entire basement, where your room is located. Also on the ground floor Holly does not have access to the hallway and kitchen. It is often in the garden, but we are also there or close by. Surroundings and region: We live in a rural and scenically very beautiful part of the Leinebergland - here it is even cheaper than in the city, and you still have the advantage of being able to combine "the best of two worlds" for you: If you are looking for peace and relaxation in nature, you can do so directly on foot from our front door: already around our small district of Alfeld there are many beautiful paths where you can explore our area (including fields, meadows, fruit trees, forest areas, a stream and the Lippold Cave). Take some time to slow down and pause with us! You can relax with us in nature, recharge your batteries, focus and gain new perspectives. In the village, there are, among other things, two restaurants with traditional German and regional cuisine, a very good family medical practice and two hairdressers. Everything for everyday needs, a small pedestrian zone and more can be found in Alfeld. The Leinebergland is an up-and-coming region and on the way to becoming a "quality region of Wanderbare Deutschland"! Hiking and also cycling trails in the area can be found on the internet, but hiking guides of the region (as small, easy to transport books) are also provided by us. The beautiful and well-known Ith-Hils hiking trail is also with us! Some regional attractions (including Einbeck!): The UNESCO World Heritage Fagus plant, the Lippoldshöhle near Brunkensen and Marienburg Castle are close by, a small indoor swimming pool with beautiful sauna area is only a few minutes away by car. Above all, however, we recommend a trip to Einbeck, the hometown of the famous Einbeck beer (since 1378)! There is a beautiful medieval city center with partially preserved city walls. Very interesting is definitely the regional mustard mill, where you can see how mustard is produced. There is also a shop there that sells other regional products in addition to the Einbeck mustard. Also worth seeing is the Einbecker Blaudruck (guided tour can also be booked in English). There you can see how the old crafts (since 1638) are practiced and buy beautiful printed fabrics and products such as towels, tablecloths and co. In addition, there is of course the brewery (guided tours there only in German on offer) and for the car, motorbike and truck fans among you to discover the nationally known PS.Speicher. If you prefer the rich variety of offers and sights of two university cities, our convenient central location benefits you: Hanover and Göttingen are both by car (about 1 hour) and by train (Hanover Central Station: 31/39 min., HANNOVER MESSE: approx. 39-45 min., Göttingen: 39 min.). Drive there, be right in the middle of it and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and the cozy room in the evening!
