Description

This spacious recently redecorated central Brighton flat is back after 7 years! It's 10-15 mins walk from the wonderful historic centre as well the beach; both Brighton & Hove stations are 10-15 mins walk away making access to London and other places very easy. Everything in the flat is modern with new bathroom, kitchen and smart TV. As well as a large double bed in the bedroom there is a very comfortable double sofabed in the living room. Carparking can be arranged @ £7.50 a day on request. The space (There are photos that are referred to in this description below but it is not possible to include them here - I can send you a document which includes the photos) Heating The central heating is very efficient. The thermostat for it is in the hallway on the wall to the right when you enter the flat (just above a low book case which has got ornaments on it. This is what it looks like: The main button you need is the ‘Select’ button which is the large one to the right of the display screen. If you press it, it ‘toggles’ between the different settings. The two main settings you want are ‘timer’ which puts it on a general timer for different temperatures during the day that I have set and ‘night’ which turns the heating off for when you are out of the flat or if you are feeling too warm – during the night, I tend to put it on this since I find it gets rather warm but if you want to leave the heating on during the night, then just leave it on the main setting if you would like. The on setting is a clock-like symbol which will appear in the panel on the top right and the off setting is a moon shaped button. Bedroom There is an extra-large bed with a very comfortable mattress. There are extra duvets, blankets and sheets that can be used on this bed or on the sofa in the living room. Living room There is a large wide comfortable sofa which can also be used to sleep an extra person. If you want to do this, the thing to do is to take the soft cushions off the sofa and to put a sheet on top of the hard cushions/seats and then use other sheets and duvets (that you will find in the bedroom) as you wish. The wi-fi network is Ash_Home and the password is Kenya123 For the TV, there are two remote controls – see photo below: The black control is for turning the TV on and off with the green Power button in the middle at the top. You can ‘toggle’ between the different settings on the TV (most of which I don’t know myself!) by pressing the button that is on the left-hand side third down from the top. The main setting is for the ‘input’ to be the ‘Set Top Box’ which is the Virgin box which is the cable-TV provider. To use this, you need the blue remote control on the left. Again, you turn this on with the button in the middle at the top. The ‘Guide’ button is the third oval button coming down from the top. This will give you the various menus. Kitchen Use whatever dishes you want - you will be able to work out what's what I imagine but just in case, when you are in the kitchen facing the oven, the cupboard which is top right has got the plates, bowls and cups in it; bottom left are the pans; top left in the cabinet are the wine glasses - I would appeciate it if you were careful with these and try to use the glasses on the lower shelf since some of the glasses (including the wide red wine glasses on the lower shelf) were special presents so even I have to be careful with them. Bathroom The shower has constant hot water so you don’t need to worry about who is having the first or last shower! The way to use the shower is that there is a general large round bit in the centre which is a small cross-wheel on it with four arms – this wheel controls the temperature so if you turn it towards the wall (anti-clockwise), the water gets warmer while if you turn it towards the door (clockwise), the water gets cooler. To control the shower itself, there is a single big handle/level/spoke which sticks out of the big round central part – turn that towards the wall (anticlockwise) to turn it on and the other way to turn it off.
