The property lies in a quiet spot on the outskirts of the cheerful village of East Bergholt, which has some delightful places to eat and drink, with a choice of picturesque riverside walks nearby. The space Just half a mile south, the characterful hamlet of Flatford was a favourite spot for the painter John Constable and makes a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding Constable Country. The Stour Valley offers miles of tranquil countryside to explore, with the glorious Dedham Vale National Landscape just a couple of miles to the west. Popular local attractions include Colchester Zoo, Munnings Art Museum, Alton Water Sports Centre and the ancient Old Knobbley in Mistley, all within 15 miles.A step leads up onto the decked area surrounding the lodge, then through into the main living area. This bright and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides an ideal space for you all to relax in, with light streaming in via the folding glass doors which occupy one side of the room. The cheery lounge has a Smart TV, wood burner and plenty of sumptuous seating, with a delightful dining area in one corner, and a beautifully organised and fully equipped kitchen space opposite. Exploring this bright and spacious lodge further, there’s a refreshing shower room alongside two tastefully decorated bedrooms: a pretty double and a stylish twin room.Patio doors lead out from the main living area and onto a charming deck space which wraps around the property. Here you will find a lovely hot tub for you to luxuriate in, as well as a sweet seating area overlooking the garden which is partially enclosed with hedging, but not fully enclosed.
