Delightfully appointed interior and intensely natural surroundings all in a quiet neighborhood close to the hospital and a short drive to the Hocking Hills. Relax in the saltwater hydro-massage hot tub (instructions required!!), drift in the hammock under a tree, warm to the fire under the Swedish Firs, or read in the gazebo by the lily pond. Perfect as a travel base, a place to rewind, or a long-term stay. NON-SMOKERS ONLY please.Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The space The home is a mecca of peaceful, natural, and artistic space. Every room is full of natural light with mature trees. If you like to read, peruse the multiple bookcases for a new author to discover. The Host is a past active ACF Chef, so the kitchen is well-equipped. Need to do laundry...just use the facilities in the basement. While here, this is home! So relax and be comfortable. This is the Host's home, and both of his children's old bedrooms are available for travelers. Shared spaces, like the two bathrooms, MUST be kept nice after each use for the comfort of the next user. Consideration is key here; there is no daily maid service! :) Guest access The room is your private space. Just be sure to treat it respectfully (no wet towels in the room; use coasters to protect wood from beverage glasses/cans/bottles!!!). Be considerate of the shared spaces as well. In particular, the shared bathrooms (main floor and upstairs) absolutely MUST be left Clean...and Neat...for the next user!!! The study computer & printer are available if needed. Chill in the living room, dining, or sun room as you please, or anywhere in the many outdoor niches. The hot tub may ONLY be accessed after the Host has given specific instructions on it's use so that guest's do not inadvertently damage it. Other things to note This space is, obviously, the Host's private room. It is made available because some guests are too tall for a twin or full bed. NOTE: The early 1800's bed posts were used in the 2 story log cabin and designed for usable space below. This means the TOP of the mattress is 39" above the floor!!!
