Description

Between Drôme and Vercors mountains, your refuge is located in the heart of nature, in the small town of Gigors-et-Lozeron. Come and enjoy a sublime setting with magnificent hikes from the accommodation, and the possibility depending on the season, if luck is with you, to hear or even observe the magnificent deer rut from the refuge! You can also explore the surroundings, up to Die and its Clairette, or the extraordinary synclinal perched in Saoû! The space . Located on Sandrine's agricultural and wine estate (Clairette de Die, almonds, sheep), your host Homnest, the refuge has all the amenities in 14 square meters perfectly optimized: ✓ AMENITIES ❀ * Sleeping area: one queen size bed 160x200 cm (2 adults) and one sofa bed (1 extra adult, extra bed) * Kitchen area: fridge, gas hob, sink, utensils, dishes and condiments * Dining area with high table, stools * Bathroom: Sink, walk-in shower, and eco toilet (dry toilet) * Soap, towels, and bedding provided * Heating by a gas stove * Ceiling fan to cool off (no air conditioning) * Outdoor furniture (except winter period): table, chairs & Chilean (no barbecue) * Drinking water via a 5 liter fountain: do not drink water from the faucets, which is fed by a tank and is used for showers and dishes * Housekeeping included * Free parking 𖠜 HEATING: • Thanks to its powerful stove, your refuge becomes a real warm cocoon, even when the cold winter temperatures are raging outside. Within minutes, an enveloping heat spreads throughout the lodge. A gentle and comforting atmosphere, perfect for sitting down with a book in hand by the fire or simply contemplating the soft orange flames. ❆ FAN (but no air conditioning) • A ceiling fan will give you the feeling of freshness in bed in summer. 𖣔 FOOD AND DRINK: On the catering side, extra charge and by reservation at least 48 hours before your stay (then depending on availability after that), your host Sandrine offers you breakfast, delivered to your refuge (€10 per person) ✓ GOOD TO KNOW: The refuge is installed in nature and fully self-contained: electricity is produced by solar panels, kitchen and heating run on gas and running water is stored in a tank. You have all the usual comforts, but the idea of an alternative habitat is also to become aware of its impact on the environment! As a result, a few rules are required during your stay: 1) Except phones and laptops, electrical appliances other than those provided on site should not be connected at the risk of damaging the solar system. It is therefore not possible to use, for example, your hair dryer, a straightening iron or a raclette machine 2) The risk of fire being very high in nature, it is strictly forbidden to smoke in and around the shelter, but also to light any flame (no barbecue) 3) Sewage is filtered by plants: you are asked to use only the 100% natural products provided (shower gel, dish soap) 4) No pets allowed in the shelter Guest access . ✓ Check-in: after 5 p.m. ✓ Check-out: before 10 a.m. ✓ Key box available in case of late arrivals ✓ You have a free space to park, close to the shelter Other things to note . The refuge is located within the Sandrine farm and wine business, which works on site with her family. So you may come across her, as well as her pets, during your stay There's no wifi at the listing The entrance to the refuge is not on one level, it has a small staircase of 3 steps. Not suitable for people with limited mobility (PRM) The deer slab usually takes place between early September and mid-October Don't worry, you're not that far away: * The perched synclinal of Saoû: 30 min. * Die: 40 min * Valencia: 45 min * Montélimar: 55 min * Grenoble: 1.5 hrs * Lyon: 1h50 * Avignon: 2h15 * Marseille: 2.5 hours ✵ WITH HOMNEST, you dive into a world of extraordinary adventures! At Homnest, we immerse you in a world of extraordinary adventures, closer to localities & their people. Our concept?
