During your stay Hi, I’m Lucia, and I’ve been part of The Three Cups Inn for most of my life. My parents bought it in 1978, and I grew up here, running around the place when I was probably meant to be doing something more sensible. At the time, it all felt completely normal. Looking back, it probably wasn’t. I took it on at twenty. That didn’t feel strange either. I just got on with it. Since then, I’ve done every job going. Bar, kitchen, rooms, early mornings, and late nights. When you’ve done it all, you understand what keeps a place like this going, and also when to step back and let people enjoy it. The Cups has never been about perfection. It’s about being real. Somewhere you can walk into and feel comfortable straight away, whether you’re here for a pint, a meal, or staying the night. Being a free house matters to me. It means we make our own decisions, choose what we serve, and keep the place as an individual rather than turning it into something it’s not. A lot has changed over the years. The building, the business, and probably me as well. But the heart of it hasn’t. It’s still built around people. You’ll usually find me somewhere about.
