Country cottage in the northwest of S.Miguel, with views to the ocean, the mountains and the fields. An option for those who want to explore the main attractions of the western part of the island, but wish to stay off the beaten track. PLEASE NOTE THERE`S A CAT living in the cottage (she's an INDOOR/OUTDOOR CAT) and it might not be suitable for those who are allergic or don't like cats. The cottage is relatively secluded in a rural environment with farms, animals and all that comes with it. The space The cottage is located in the village of Ajuda da Bretanha. It has 2 goodsized bedrooms, living room with a wood burning stove, kitchen, washing room and one bathroom. There is also a little garden and a terrace with views to the ocean and the mountains. There is an outdoor table and chairs. Guest access There is a parking spot in front of the cottage´s annex. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE there is a cat staying at the cottage and it might not be suitable for those who are allergic or don't like cats. Something to take into consideration is that the cottage is relatively secluded and in a less touristy area. The nearest recommended restaurant is " 4 plátanos" in Santo António at about 8 minutes drive ( this restaurant offers free pick up service). The nearest natural pool (rocky) is about 10 minutes drive. The closest sand beach is in Mosteiros about 15 minutes drive. The small town of Capelas is at about 13 minutes drive from the cottage and there you will find the supermarket Continente with a pretty good choice of products. Ponta Delgada is about 25 minutes away. At the centre of Ajuda da Bretanha (the village where the cottage is), just by the church square, one can find a local shop. It´s small, but it has basic goods and it´s also possible to order bread. The village of Sete Cidades is about 20 minutes away by car as well as the hot springs of Ferraria. If you need baby amenities please let me know in advance. From 1.January 2025 all tourists over the age of 13 staying at the municipality of Ponta Delgada, have to pay a tourist tax. It is 2 euros per person per night per lodging facility for the first 3 nights.
