I'm a small cabin located in a wonderful setting with other houses on gravel roads. My owners put their hearts and souls into my creation. I have 2 BR's & BR's, great room, kitchen, W/D, 2 porches, patio and a fire pit. 2.5 miles from Saluda, NC - a special little town! I'm your spot for R&R - not parties or noise! I'm up the hill from a small lake *summer'24* - lake temporarily drained for long term repairs. NO WI-FI, weak cell. Guest pass for lake property provided. NO PETS or SMOKING! The cabin built in 2019 as a labor of love so while it is simple and pretty basic, it also has a lot of special features that we incorporated to make it feel welcoming and comfortable. Keep in mind, THERE IS NO WI-FI AND CELL SERVICE ISN'T RELIABLE. The Red Cabin is a place to come enjoy the natural surroundings, to unwind and unplug! If you're looking for a place for party or large gathering, sorry...this isn't the place for you. The lake and road are private property and a guest pass is required - provided with rental. The entire place is all yours! If you have guests over to spend the night, please be advised there is a $50 charge for any guest over the 4 allowed. Please understand this goes directly toward cleaning person for her time. Unless something unusual happens, I am readily available to answer questions and/or help with anything I can. Lake Hosea is a small community 2.5 miles outside of Saluda, NC. There are year round and seasonal residents. The roads are gravel and dirt and all of them are accessible with some being a little more difficult to navigate - especially in the winter during snow and/or ice. It is incredibly quiet and gives the feeling of being remote, yet there are neighbors nearby in the event you need something. Folks live and visit here to be away from constant demands and distractions and to appreciate their natural surroundings. We ask that you respect the peace and quiet - it is not a "party" place!! PLEASE adhere to posted speed limit signs and other simple rules that are posted in the area and with our other check-in/check-out requests. The town of Saluda is 2.5 miles away by car but a very easy drive. Please note: As of Summer '24 the lake is drained for repairs possibly thru 2024 - there is water and you can swim or fish this summer. Whether you're interested in outdoor activities, shopping, local restaurants or breweries there are plenty of things to do and places to explore! While we love pets, we do not allow them due to potential for damage and/or mess. This is a NON-SMOKING space. **IN WINTER MONTHS please check weather - if power goes out, there is no water since we're on a well. I'll be happy to reschedule your visit if bad weather is forecasted.
