The Happy Red Cabin

I'm a small cabin located in a wonderful setting with other houses on gravel roads. My owners put their hearts and souls into my creation. I have 2 BR's & BR's, great room, kitchen, W/D, 2 porches, patio and a fire pit. Located 2.5 miles from Saluda, NC - a delightful small WNC town. I'm up the hill from a small private lake *as of summer '25 - lake temporarily drained for long term repairs* NO WI-FI, weak cell. Guest pass for lake property provided. NO PETS or SMOKING - strict policy. The space The cabin built in 2019 as a labor of love so while it is simple and pretty basic, it also has a lot of special features that we incorporated to make it feel welcoming and comfortable. Keep in mind, THERE IS NO WI-FI AND CELL SERVICE ISN'T RELIABLE. The Red Cabin is a place to come enjoy the natural surroundings, to unwind and unplug! If you're looking for a place for party or large gathering, sorry...this isn't the place for you. The lake and road are private property and a guest pass is required - provided with rental. Guest access The entire place is all yours! If you have guests over to spend the night, please be advised there is a $50 charge for any guest over the 4 allowed. Please understand this goes directly toward cleaning person for her time. Other things to note Please note: As of Summer '24 the lake is drained for repairs possibly thru 2026 - there is water and you can swim or fish this summer. Whether you're interested in outdoor activities, shopping, local restaurants or breweries there are plenty of things to do and places to explore! While we love pets, we do not allow them due to potential for damage and/or mess. This is a NON-SMOKING space. **IN WINTER MONTHS please check weather - if power goes out, there is no water since we're on a well. I'll be happy to reschedule your visit if bad weather is forecasted.
