Welcome to Birch House—a cozy, private retreat on a quiet dead-end street in northwest Roanoke. You're just minutes from the airport, shopping, dining. Downtown is a 10 min drive. Enjoy full privacy in your own space: private entrance, living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bath. The owners live separately on the other side with no shared interior space. Free driveway parking for one car, plus plenty of street parking. The space Built in 1942, this house has plenty of personality! When you enter the space on the main level, you’ll find a living room with a large comfy couch and a fully equipped kitchen. Head downstairs to a spacious bedroom with two queen-size beds and a full bathroom. One bed is firm, the other soft—pick your comfort! In the summer, there are 3 window AC units to keep you cool. You’ll find original hardwood floors with some scratches and scuffs that tell their story. It’s not a shiny remodel, but it’s cozy, full of charm, and has just the right amount of quirks that come with an older home. Please note: stairs are required to access the bedroom and bath, so this space may not be ideal for those with mobility concerns. While we love children, the space isn’t childproof and doesn’t include baby gear (e.g. highchairs, outlet covers, or pack ’n plays). There are two fireplaces but they are not functional. Guest access You have full access to the private guest suite. The driveway is shared but you may park one car and the yard is shared. There is also a back deck that you may use.
