The cottage (once an old barn) has been recently renovated to a high standard. It provides a comfortable lounge/diner with new sofa bed (tempur top mattress) and separate chair. Dining table with 6 comfortable chairs. 2 large double bedrooms with original features, a large bathroom with `L` bath and shower, and a large separate toilet. A recently fitted kitchen is fully equipped. Large outside play area and private terrace with BBQ and dining table and chairs. It provides 2 large double bedrooms with original features, a large bathroom with L bath/shower, and a large separate toilet with a double sink. Hand soap , shower gel, towels and bedding provided. The downstairs has a feature fireplace with a wood burner and original beams, providing a tastefully decorated lounge for relaxing, with a comfortable 3 seater sofa/bed (new 2023) and extra chair. LED smart television with Sky (UK) and French channels. PlayStation and surround sound DVD player. Dining table and 6 cushioned chairs The recently fitted, modern kitchen has a four-burner gas hob, multifunction electric oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, washing machine, dish washer, and all cooking equipment. The cottage has a private outside eating area and terrace, with a picnic table, parasol, sun loungers, charcoal BBQ, and ample secure parking, also a large children's play area and larger terrace, (shared with owners). Extra seating area. A selection of outdoor games such as a trampoline with enclosure (new 2022), dome climbing frame with swing (under 10yr olds) table tennis , basketball, badminton and a football goal. Molky, large snakes and ladsers and connect four. There is also a 5m diameter, above ground swimming pool with unflatables. Pool available from May to end of August. Set within 5 acres, there is plenty of room to run about. There are outside lights and electricity sockets enabling guests to benefit from the outside space. . Welcome pack on arrival.-( for reservations of one week or more ) . Well behaved pets accepted only with prior consent. (small fee) Guest access Through iron gates, drive round to the rear of the main house to the parking area. You can park in front of the white garage doors. The gite entrance is via the terrace in front of you. There is a key box. The code will be sent to you after your booking is confirmed, a few days before your arrival date. Ample free parking. 5 acres of natural countryside Other things to note Le Mans is just a 30min drive, where you can visit the 24 hour race track, cathederal , river boat rides and visit the historical town with quaint shops, restaurants and cafes. Paris is 2.30 hrs drive. So a trip to EuroDisney is possible during your stay. Local supermarkets are just 10 mins drive. There is a village bar and bakers approx 1km from the cottage, where you can buy daily croissant/ bread or enjoy a coffee/ drink The local Saturday market is in Alencon and Fesnay sur Sarthe which are both approx. 10 mins drive. Several pretty villages with local markets are within a short driving distance. Fresnay Sur Sarthe has a local market every Saturday where you can find local products like pate, meat, vegetables/fruit and cheese, along with other items. Les Alpes Mancelles is just 8 km where you can discover small pretty villages with restaurants and cafes, along with a Zip wire and playground. Canoeing and Kayaking. Horse riding and climbing. Lovely walks and hiking trails in the countryside with fabulous views. The beautiful town Alencon is 10km where you can visit museums, shops, markets, parks, restaurants and much more. Coco Plage is about 20 min drive. The manmade beach/lake is a beautiful place to relax and walk around. Ample free parking. Surveyed bathing area.(seasonal) Childrens playground, pony riding and restaurants and cafes. There is a small animal park around 20 minutes by car. Parc animallier d'Ecouves.
