Description

Welcome to the heart of Tuscany! Maniero del Brunelleschi-Medieval Apartments Resort offers spectacular apartments with exclusive pool in the picturesque Tuscan village of Vicopisano between Pisa, Florence and Lucca. The apartment "La Torre" will conquer you for its sensational location nestled between the ancient medieval tower and the walls of the village. Ceilings with large wooden beams, Florentine terracotta floors, wrought iron lights will embellish your stay with style! The space Ready to spend an unforgettable vacation in the heart of Tuscany? MANIERO DEL BRUNELLESCHI - Medieval Apartments Resort is waiting for you! You can live the unique experience of staying in an authentic medieval fort finely restored where Tuscan charm and modern comforts merge in 5 different thematic apartments with exclusive pool at the service of the Resort units. The Resort is located within the medieval village of Vicopisano, a Tuscan jewel where the genius of Florentine architect Filippo Brunelleschi has built the Rocca del Castello that dominates the picturesque village. Apartment La Torre The apartment is on the second floor of the main building of Manieroed offers a kitchen, living room with sofa-bed, bathroom and double bedroom: it owes its name to the watchtower that was originally at the service of the medieval fort and which today is only an architectural element of the external fortification walls. The outside of the old tower is clearly visible today from the kitchen window of the apartment that faces the wall border but also from the inside or in the living room area: extraordinary detail is the ancient supporting capital of the tower that at the time was an integral part of the fort and the same medieval walls that are still present in the double bedroom. The Tuscan rustic masonry kitchen consists of a granilla sink, large counter top and induction stove: the refrigerator and dishwasher are located in the wooden recesses of the kitchen itself where you will also find pots, microwave, kettle, toaster and everything you need to prepare a beautiful Tuscan dinner! The beautiful period showcase dominates the kitchen overlooking a picturesque window over the surrounding countryside. The expertly decorated bathroom is nestled under a medieval arch and has a large shower, toilet, bidet, and washbasin. Like the other rooms, it is not without style details: the sink, in fact, rests on an olive wood board that is located in an old sewing machine. La Piccionaia, or the Living room, owes its name to its historic function as a room, then adjacent to the medieval Tower, where traveling pigeons were kept. The environment is today extremely evocative given the high ceiling characterized by chestnut beams and terracotta mezzanines and the living room is very bright given the window overlooking the courtyard. The large leather sofa, comfortable to enjoy the TV corner, becomes kingsofa bed if necessary to use the living room as a second room: the comfortable size of the sofa bed makes it perfect for the rest of both adults and children. The stay is embellished with ancient prints and the centuries-old shelf where, for centuries, the bread was put to rest and which is a typical element of rustic Tuscan houses. La Camera del Messaggero, the master bedroom, is a location of extraordinary beauty: in the Middle Ages it was the residence of the Messenger who sent traveling pigeons. The large four-poster bed dominates the room directly built into the exposed stone fortification walls. You can see the overlap of different types of stone to confirm the construction of the fortification walls of Vicopisano in several historical periods: the first layer even dates back to the first Roman settlement. The games of light and shade of wrought iron lamps create a magical and evocative environment that envelops their guests taking them back in time: sleeping here is truly a unique experience, indescribable in words! A vintage closet of great value embellishes the environment along with a characteristic vintage trunk and sink under a ceiling of exceptional beauty, characterized by an intersection of ancient chestnut beams. Each apartment also enjoys modern comforts such as Wi-Fi and Air Conditioning, air conditioning, induction stovetops, satellite and cable TV, ancient porcelain electrical outlets with rotary switches, fully equipped kitchens with refrigerator and dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board, bed and bath linen, laundry service upon request, poolside umbrella station with pool towels included. All properties of the Maniero del Brunelleschi – Medieval Apartments Resort have access to the spectacular private pool of the property with dedicated umbrella station with deck chairs/sun loungers, tech power and outdoor Wi-Fi. The common area of the Oven is at the service of all guests. Il Forno Each Maniero apartment can enjoy the historic Oven, common and passing environment for all guests to access the exclusive pool, garden and interior loggia. The Forno is a one-of-a-kind environment that we strongly wanted to maintain in its original form: in the Middle Ages the real oven, which still measures 3 meters by 3 meters, was at the service of the entire village for the production of bread. Today we wanted to pay homage to them by making it the environment reserved for our Tuscan Cooking Courses, not to mention poolside aperitifs, wine&food tastings and weekly themed dinners. The Forno is finely decorated on the ceiling with the typical harnesses of our country's rural history: imagine learning in this fantastic location how to make fresh handmade pasta, Tuscan sweets and cookies, bruschetta and much more! Adjacent to the main room of the oven is another service room – called the Castro del Poriale: once there were pigs who also had the opportunity to go out in a fenced outdoor space that today is our corner aperitifs by the pool. In the Castro you will find a large fridge in service during your pool time to make you enjoy fresh drinks directly on site, as well as a large freezer divided into departments for each apartment that you can use if you need it. The Tuscan Stone Pool Incredible, it is the only adjective that we think can describe the environment we have created for you: the large private pool, made of stone from our Pisan Mountains and surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the medieval walls of Vicopisano. Guests of the Maniero del Brunelleschi - Medieval Apartments Resort will be able to boast of having, upon return from daily excursions, the possibility of swimming in the pool in a unique context such as that of a typical Tuscan medieval village. Details and style are not even missing in the outdoor spaces of the Maniero: copper shower and the recreated foot sink with an ancient capital and a stone grinder for the entrance to the pool. Each apartment will be able to enjoy around the pool area its own umbrella station, with charging for electronic devices and outdoor Wi-Fi, as well as a relaxation area under the porch: aperitifs and dinners by the pool, musical evenings and everything that will make your holiday unforgettable! The Medieval Court and the Tuscan Garden The great main courtyard of the Maniero has been restored with the same material of the time, namely the famous Impruneta terracotta. Protected by ancient columns and the centuries-old medieval wrought iron chain, the Court embellishes the Maniero facade with character and unmistakable medieval style thanks to the medieval coats of arms that still reflect the ancient power of the then fort. The Tuscan Garden is home to a large centuries-old olive tree of indomitable beauty under which you will find the pleasure of a break on the large stone benches of the Pisan Mountains. The magic continues even in the evening when the Corte del Maniero lights up with its lighting on the medieval walls of the property: a postcard image.. unforgettable!
