In addition to your private accommodations, the house has a Common Room. The spacious grounds are also beautiful and available. We also have privileges at a private Swim & Tennis Club that you can use (seasonal, fee) We are accessible to you during your entire stay. We'll show you around and Check you in personally, but will not "hover". We live on the grounds in a separate dwelling and you'll have our cel phone # to text/call. We are located in the New Hope National Historic District. Our buildings are on the National Historic Register because these grounds served as a bivuac site for General George Washington and 1400 Continental soldiers for the 3 weeks leading to the famous Christmas Eve crossing of the Delaware River in 1776. The internationally known Washington Crossing State Park is only a mile away. Our buildings also served as a safe haven on the Bucks County Underground Railroad network in the mid 1800 s. We offer onsite parking for one (1) standard size vehicle, per room. New Hope is an easy destination to navigate on foot. There are bike rentals and car rental agencies nearby. We are situated close to the Express Bus to/from JFK/NYC, and can provide pick-up/drop-off to the bus stop. Mercer County Airport (TTN) is 14 miles away. Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is 24 miles and JFK in NY is approximately 78 miles. Onsite parking for 1 standard size vehicle is provided complimentary.
