Guesthouse Nýp - Room with a private bathroom

For all who prefer remote surroundings and quiet nature. Two beds in the room (double or single at your choice), full bedding, and breakfast are available. The room has great views! Cooking facilities for guests. If contacted in advance, we could make you dinner with our amazing menu that we have. A shared living room/breakfast room, a private bathroom with a shower. The former barn is a shared space as well - with a big window facing Breiðafjörður Bay. The space The house is a former farmhouse, abandoned around 1968. The house stood empty until 2001, when we started the renovation - slowly, slowly, room by room! From the house there are panoramic views of the Breiðafjörður-bay, islands and skerries. A river and small brooks are close to the house, and waterfalls; the sound of water, birds, wind, and sea. Guest access Our four guests share the guest bathroom. The breakfast room with the fireplace and books, is open for guests to enjoy, as well as the "barn". Great views from all rooms. Cooking facilities for guests. Guests are welcome to enjoy our garden / the nature around - there is the mountain, the river, and the shore... and more! Breakfast is available at the cost of 19 EUR. Cold buffet, coffee, and tea. Homemade bread, yogurt, cereal/muesli, jam, meat, fruit, and vegetable. Guesthouse Nýp Evening Meals Please book your dinners in advance. Our kitchen works from 6 pm and closes at 8 pm One Menu for all 1. A small starter - 1800 ISK Local tastes from the sea, nature, gardens 2. Dish of the day, ask our staff - 4100 ISK could include fish - or lamb meat - or vegetarian: with vegetables, potatoes, herbs, and salads from our gardens 3. Dessert - 1950 ISK Something light and sweet to finish the meal - from garden and/or wild nature or from our Nýp-bakery Available soup and home-baked bread. Soup of lamb meat, chicken, or vegetables - 3200 ISK A glass of wine red or white 1200 ISK, small beer is 1000 ISK. Other things to note Nearest Gas stations are 50km from Nyp - so if you are coming through Budardalur - or Holmavik - or Stadarskáli - it might be an idea to tank there!
