Unwind in Hydes at this private 800 sq ft cottage track side on a working Thoroughbred farm. The house recently vacated by family is opening up to respectful guests who want to enjoy a place to escape your everyday life. Experience the magic of Hydes and Baltimore County from our rural -yet central location. Need more space ? ask about adjacent bedrooms in the main hours. Well behaved dogs are considered but must be approved before booking and pay a pet fee. The space The cottage is situated at the front of a 140 acre commercial thoroughbred farm part of the long green preservation area. The small cottage has a King bedroom, Living room, full bath and kitchen as well as a patio and yard areas for enjoying the beaucolic and peaceful setting. A third guest would apply to a baby in a pack n play or child able to utilize a standard sofa to sleep on. Please note: after hours guests may find the driveway gate shut. If so it may be necessary that you open and shut it as you find it when coming and going after dark. Guest access The cottage and areas of the yard around the house and driveway along the track are open for guests enjoyment. Mon - Sat horses are on the track between 12:30 and 2:30 and we ask for quiet activity around this area during these hours so as not to startle horses and riders. A map will be shared to specify off limit areas which will include all barns and paddock areas across the creek from the house. There will be horses in paddocks along the driveway to visit with if desired. Other things to note GUESTS w DOGS : for your dog’s & our horse’s safety: All dogs must be leashed and closely supervised. The areas around the track are off limits during training hours (12:30 - 2:30) The yard around your rental is the best area for potty breaks until end of farm’s workday.
