Apple Valley West THE POD

Little space of luxury Special getaway, close to Mapua Wharf for dining, galleries & amenities - perfect as a stop over to the Able Tasman National Park. Enjoy sauna, (shared with THE LOFT) outdoor bath & shower private space. Lovely views over orchard and Waimea Estuary, wake to the sunrise coming in your picture window. We are a private property with two accommodation units - The POD & The LOFT (currently owners residing at the LOFT) Situated in a working apple orchard. The space The POD is a studio apartment with separate bathroom w shower, outdoor bath & shower area. Queen bed with luxury linen. Wardrobe. Kitchenette - no oven or stove top, there is a small fridge, toasted sandwich maker, blender, plunger and full equipped with plates and glasses and cutlery. Lounge space has a two seater leather couch that sits in front of the Smart TV Deck surrounds the POD with outdoor chairs, space is also surrounded by native plantings and lawns. Next door is THE LOFT - currently under construction and will be added to our accommodation offering in 2026. You are in a working apple orchard, so occasionally you will see orchard workers going about their day, but mostly it is quiet and silent. Harvest time is March - get to pick as many apples as you can eat. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the POD and their own private outdoor bath and shower area. They also have access to the sauna and gym area which is located ground level of THE LOFT They also can roam the orchard - if you want to walk to Mapua you can walk through the orchard - 45 minute walk. There are lots of great walking from here - just ask Jane. Other things to note NOTE we are a working orchard - meaning between 8 am and 5pm there may be some activity (although most of the time you are on your own) occasionally the sprayer will come through, although todays sprays are not dangerous we just tend to go inside while they are spraying - it usually takes about 20 minutes.
