The space 🌿 Le Chalet des Aigrettes: A magical getaway in the heart of a historic mill A place where history, nature and comfort meet Immerse yourself in the history of the Moulin de La Voivre, an iconic property bordered by the Breuchin River, whose origins date back to the Napoleonic era. Formerly a flour mill, then a sawmill until the end of the 20th century, this site full of memories has been transformed into a cozy and bright gite, where Scandinavian charm meets modern comfort. Completely renovated with passion and respect for the environment, Chalet des Aigrettes is a tribute to natural materials. Wood is omnipresent, the finishes are natural (Swedish paint, ochres, oils, etc.), and the furniture is made up of unique pieces that we have crafted. Thermally and acoustically insulated, this peaceful retreat promises you peaceful nights and relaxing stays, thanks to its pellet stove and double-glazed windows. 🏡 A spacious, warm interior designed for large groups *A friendly and bright living space* From the moment you arrive, you will be seduced by the spacious living room, designed for large families and groups of friends. It is organized around several areas: - A convenient entrance: coat rack, shoe cabinet and direct access to the bedrooms. - A cozy dining room: a monastery table for 12 guests, ideal for meals with family or friends. - A modern and ultra-equipped kitchen: high-end appliances, a variety of dishes (wine glasses, champagne glasses, beer glasses, etc.), and utensils for all your meals. Little extras: 2 fondue sets, 2 raclette/grill sets, juicer, food processor, salad spinner, pressure cooker, etc.! - A cozy living room: with a game table, a bookcase full of books, DVDs and board games, as well as a pellet stove whose visible flame adds a touch of intimacy. A large additional living room welcomes you with sofas and armchairs for 12 people, a coffee table and a TV (200 Orange channels, Netflix access and other subscriptions). A bedroom area is available in the living room, which can be separated from the rest of the room by a thick curtain. It is equipped with a comfortable BZ sofa bed (160x190) and a wardrobe. *Attic bedrooms for a restful sleep* Upstairs, four bedrooms and a mezzanine with a sloping ceiling await you. 🛏️ Room information: - Bedroom 1: 1 queen size bed - Bedroom 2: 1 Queen Size bed + 1 single bed - Bedroom 3: 1 Queen bed. - Bedroom 4: 2 single beds + 1 pull-out bed. The bedrooms have: - Queen-size beds (160 x 200) or single beds (90 x 200), with slatted bed bases for optimal support. - Closets and desks for added practicality. - Eco-friendly bedding: mattresses and duvets made of natural materials (Le Matelas Vert), locally made cotton sheets (Tradition des Vosges), beds made on arrival (4-season duvet + fleece blankets in winter). For your relaxation, the mezzanine is equipped with a sofa bed (140 x 190), a reading/games area for children (rug and cushions), and a TV for DVD evenings. It can be separated from the rest of the floor by thick blackout curtains to create a bedroom area. An extra mattress can be provided upon request for a 15th person. For babies, we provide a crib with linens and a duvet for free (+ Bathtub, changing table, 2 high chairs, paddling pool). *Functional and well-equipped bathrooms* Enjoy two impeccably equipped bathrooms: > On the ground floor: - 2 sinks, luxury walk-in shower for 2 people, toilet, washing machine, dryer, towel radiator, and hair dryer. - Basic products provided: shampoo, shower gel, soap, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc. - Towels: 1 large bath sheet and 1 towel per guest. > Upstairs: - Attic bathroom with spacious shower cubicle, double sink, toilet, and basic products. - Bath towels also provided. 📶 Connectivity and convenient amenities The vacation rental is equipped with fiber optics, and Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the house. Several ethernet sockets are available for an ultra-fast connection (1 cable provided). Guest access Discover our outbuildings and outdoor spaces: - A sauna for 6-8 people, made of wood and heated in a Harvia stove with stones. Vestibule attached to change (supplement to be paid on site). - A wood-fired hot tub, set on a wooden deck overlooking the river. Accessible all year round (surcharge to be paid on site). - A large above ground pool open from June to September (included in the rental price) - A game room, cool in summer and heated in winter, equipped with table football and a game of darts. - Relaxation areas: sunbeds, hammock, lounge chairs and garden furniture. ⚠️ Please note that the different areas of the garden (barbecue, sauna, Nordic bath, swimming pool, etc.) as well as the parking are NOT ATTACHED to the cottage and NOT VISIBLE from it. To get there, you have to exit through the front door and walk along the road for about fifteen meters. Private 🅿️ parking and EV charging (15-20 meters from the property) - You can park at the foot of the cottage while loading/unloading your vehicle. - Free parking available to park 3-4 vehicles. - Two reinforced outlets to charge electric vehicles (invoicing at the end of the stay at the rate of €0.25/kWh). 🚴‍♂️ For cyclists: secure garage and tools available! But also: - a garden furniture (6 chairs + coffee table) for relaxing al fresco breaks. - a large fire bowl 🔥 (with grill) for campfire evenings around the crackling flames. ⚠️ Safety and access rules The playground and pool are open access from 9am to 8pm. Outside of these times, please store your equipment (toys, towels...) to facilitate any maintenance operations (watering, pool cleaning, etc.). Night baths in the pool are not allowed The patio, sauna, hot tub, and fire bowl are usable at night, but thank you for respecting the sleep of your hosts and neighbors after 10pm. Please also respect the cleanliness of the place! Children are under your sole responsibility and should not be left unattended. Be particularly vigilant around the road, river, pool, Nordic bath and sauna (risk of accident, drowning or burning). 🔐 Access and respect for private spaces Our home is visible from the playground and pool, but everyone retains their privacy with curtains drawn on our terrace. The patio, games room and grounds are open access. Please lock the doors when you leave the premises. The rest of the property (outbuildings, orchard, vegetable garden) is private and not accessible for guests. We like to show our garden and share our seasonal production when possible (salads, tomatoes, cucumbers, melons and other homemade products such as jams or apple juice), but we appreciate you not serving yourself in the orchard! Activities: Whether you're athletes, families, hikers, or heritage lovers, our area is full of activities for all ages and cravings. Onsite, within easy reach With family or friends, enjoy outdoor activities: Games and sports: swimming pool, ping pong, badminton, volleyball, pétanque, Finnish bowling, and archery for the little ones. Walks and relaxation: games in the river (fishing possible, equipment not provided), swimming, or just relaxing by the water. Inside: foosball, darts and board games for rainy days. For athletes and adventurers Cycling: Explore the mythical roads in the area, such as the Route du Tour de France or the Planche des Belles Filles (35 km away), with many marked routes for sports or tourist biking. Hiking: The surrounding nature is ideal for walking, mountain biking or horseback riding. Electric ATV and VTC rental: available at the Faucogney-et-Mélisey Tourism Authority. In the winter, the Vosges mountain opens its doors to you Nordic skiing: The Route des Forts estate in Saint-Bresson is only 20 minutes away. If the smell of smoke is detected upon your departure, a penalty of €100 will be applied for cleaning and deodorization (rental of an ozone generator). 🐾 Pets not allowed Only service animals (guide dogs, assistance dogs, etc.) are allowed.
