Terracotta House

This elegant and cozy 2-bedroom house was inspired by the vibrant colours of the spice markets in Morocco. That inspiration formed the backdrop of the design elements of the house which contrast beautifully with the green surroundings of the home. We are situated in Catangnan area of General Luna, just 1 km away from the famous Cloud 9 surf spot. The house is right in front of Riad Masaya. You won’t miss the terracotta hue! The space Our location offers the perfect balance of tranquility and proximity to the vibrant Catangnan bridge and pristine waters of Catangnan beach. We are 1km away from Cloud 9 surf spot, and we are also surrounded by many cafes and some of the top restaurants of the island. If you prefer a more vibrant vibe, General Luna's nightlife and activities are accessible within a short 9 minute drive. The Space: Two tranquil bedrooms both containing a queen-size bed, side table, open wardrobe, air-conditioning and fan. We also have emergency fans and lights to help with the island’s temperamental electricity. We also provide high quality linens, towels and hand towels from local artisans. There is an open plan living room area with a sofa bed that flows directly though the kitchen. Our kitchen comes fully equipped with Induction burners, storage cabinets, sink, fridge, silverware, plates and cooking pans. We also have unlimited filtered drinking water for your enjoyment. The bathroom is extremely spacious with a hot and cold shower as well as earth conscious amenity kits. Our water also has a filtration system to help ease the island’s hard water. Our charming outdoor area was built for tranquility and conversations amongst loved ones. It features beautiful archways that look out across the front garden which is lush and perfectly frames our space. You’ll also find an outdoor shower where you can wash up after coming from the ocean - it’s also fitted with an extendable hose so you can wash the salt water off your surf equipment. We have a security camera that pans the entire outdoor area and entrance as well as solar lights surrounding the property to ensure your safety. The home is also fitted with high-speed fibre Wi-Fi throughout the entire property. Should the electricity go out, there is a back up power source that automatically kicks in for the router so you can rest assured that you can work without any interruptions. The Location: - 2 mins drive to Catangnan Beach where you can enjoy a tranquil family spot and take pump boats directly to top surfing spots like Stimpy’s, Rock Island, Boomie and more - 3 mins drive to Sunset Bridge where you can enjoy afternoon snacks in the daily market or enjoy a beer as you look out into the sunset - 4 mins drive to the world famous Cloud 9 break where you can watch or surf with world class local surfers - 9 mins drive to the main town of GL where you can enjoy the vibrant restaurant and nightlife culture of the island Getting Around: The best way to traverse the island is via motorbike. If you are looking to hire motorbikes we have one on the property for our guests’ use for 350PHP per day. We will just need to collect a copy of your driver’s license to keep on file and ask you to sign a standard waiver. If you’d like a car, we also have partner providers we can get you in touch with If you don’t drive motorbikes then tuk tuks are readily available through the area. The fare per person is 30PHP maximum and this fare is for travel to the entirety of GL. We have also partnered with car rental providers should you need one. We highly recommend setting time aside for a North trip - it’s one of our favourite parts of the island. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, including all rooms, the kitchen, living areas, and outdoor spaces. The house is rented as a whole, so you won’t be sharing with anyone else by the time of your stay. Other things to note This is your stress-free zone — flip-flops and lazy mornings are encouraged! :)
