Don't miss the nearby state park with a beautiful hike through waterfalls. Guests seem to especially appreciate the location, outdoor areas, and views of the lake. The space This family-friendly home is different than most with its thick logs and original stone fireplace- we hope you love it as much as we do! The property is situated on a hill overlooking the lake. The entire street is above the lake, so please note that while you are extremely close to the lake, especially while walking down our street, you cannot access the lake from the road or the property. (This walk is approximately one mile but does involve a hill on the way home.) House layout Downstairs: Enter into the original room of this beautiful log cabin- smart TV and stone fireplace with gas insert (turns on with a button) To the right upon entering the home: Large full bathroom with tub Dining room with view of lake from dinner table Kitchen with bar opening into dining room To the left upon entering the home: Bedroom 1: king bed, patio access, lake view Bedroom 2: queen bed Small full bathroom with stand-up shower Small library area at foot of stairs with books, games Upstairs: Large landing area: has a full bed/bedroom setup but is open to Bedroom 3. There is a partition that can be set up easily to provide visual barrier between these two rooms if desired. Bedroom 3: 2 steps up from the landing; full bed Bedroom 4: 3 twin beds- we call this the nursery as it is a fun spot for kids; lake view Important notes: - please be prepared for a steep driveway and stone walkways - upstairs bedrooms are connected, see descriptions above - linens/towels provided except for pack n play sheet, which should be provided by guest if needed - charcoal for the grill is not stocked in the home - shampoo/conditioner/shower products are not provided - there is a laundromat right in town for laundry services - AC provided: ductless unit at top of stairs. Downstairs stays very cool and this unit when on cools the whole house quite comfortably Parking: - 2 spots in front of main yard (this involves a short walk up the top half of the driveway hill) - 2 spots at street level (this involves a walk up the steep driveway) - street parking is allowed across the street - shared driveway- please use the spot at the top of the driveway only when necessary out of respect for neighbors Please let us know if you have any questions and we hope to welcome you to Lake N Logs soon! Guest access Entire home, yard Our property has great views of the lake but we do not own any lakefront. The lake can be accessed (for swimming) by driving to nearby Clute Park. You can also walk down the street which has beautiful views of the lake. The lake is down the hill/cliffs from the street. A longer walk (about a mile) can also take you to Watkins Glen where you can stroll on the pier and the harbor area and be very up close to the lake!
