West Cork hideaway with spectacular views over the islands, yet a stroll from Baltimore village & its cafés, bars & award-winning restaurants. Enjoy the best of the Wild Atlantic Way, from whale & dolphin watching, ferry trips to the islands & their sandy beaches, night-kayaks at Lough Hyne, & superb local music, film & art festivals. Swimming, sailing, angling, hillwalking, birdwatching & beach-combing all catered for! The space Set in a large garden, our peaceful & compact, yet surprisingly spacious bungalow has four bedrooms, sleeping seven (2 double, 1 bunk, 1 single); a kitchen/diner; main bathroom; and living room with open fire, dining-table seating 8-10, and French windows to the patio. The kitchen is equipped with a DeLonghi coffee machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, electric hob & oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Heating: electric storage heater (living room), electric wall-mounted heaters in the bedrooms, bathroom & kitchen; hot press with immersion water heating; electric shower over bath. All four bedrooms have spacious built-in wardrobes. Enjoy our collection of art by local West Cork artists, local history books, board-games and jigsaws. Garden furniture includes a sofa, armchairs, deck chairs, coffee table, parasol, and brazier (to stay warm while stargazing!). Games stored in garden hut include, badminton, tennis racquets, croquet set, boules and table-tennis. You'll be a 3-min walk from the Cove for a swim; a 7-min stroll (10 if you stop for the views) from the village square where you can catch the ferries, have an ice cream, a fresh seafood lunch, or a sunset pint (highly recommended); and a 15-min walk from the famous Baltimore Beacon with its sweeping ocean views. We are even lucky enough to have a wine bar down a pathway at the end of the garden, the famous Rolf's Country House, 5 mins along a fuchsia-lined tree-tunnel! (Private parking at the side of the house / bins are provided for refuse & recyclables and are collected fortnightly). Guest access All
