Cincinnati Cottage - 1800s Charm, Modern Comforts

Welcome to 'Dear Main', a thoughtfully updated 1870s brick cottage in the heart of Newtown, just 10 miles east of downtown Cincinnati. Historic charm meets modern comfort with cozy living spaces, a well-equipped kitchen, and inviting bedrooms. Enjoy quiet mornings with coffee on the patio, stroll to local restaurants, or take a short drive to downtown Cincinnati for arts, dining, music and sports. Whether you’re here to relax or explore, this quaint cottage is the ideal home base for your stay. The space Each area of the house has been intentionally designed to be an experience! We've kept as many of the original elements of the home as possible, as a nod to its 1870 origin. We've salvaged the original wood beam ceilings, oak floors and brick throughout. ROOM BY ROOM DETAILS: LIVING ROOM - a cozy space to watch a movie, read a book or just hang out. There is an antique hutch with board games available to you. DINING ROOM - Includes a farm style table for intimate dining and playing games. KITCHEN - Fully equipped and modernized with a nod to cottage living. It has brand new GE Cafe line appliances, and we've stocked it with all the cooking appliances you should need, as well as a Nespresso to start your mornings. FIRST FLOOR BATHROOM - A half bath conveniently located off the living room. UPSTAIRS BATHROOM - Large custom tiled shower and double vanity is the perfect place to unwind from the day and pamper yourself. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, blow dryer and make up towels are provided. There is also a laundry closet conveniently located here, with washer and dryer. WORK NOOK - A natural light space with a vintage desk, a few desk supplies and a custom art wall created by local retail shop The Native One. A great corner of the house to sneak away with the laptop to get some work done. There is high speed wifi throughout the home. SECONDARY BEDROOM - A moody space with a queen bed and New Leesa mattress, dresser and cozy linens. There is a TV located in this room for any movie watching upstairs. PRIMARY BEDROOM - A soft natural light space with king bed and Leesa mattress, a large dressing mirror, modern lighting, organic elements, antique wardrobe, and overall natural elegance. BACK PATIO - A table and chairs for four if you wish to dine al fresco as well as a Solo Stove fire pit with adirondack chairs (complete with s'mores sticks) for those cool nights (fire wood not guaranteed). Guest access Guests have private access to the entire property and will enter through digital door locks. Please note that both bedrooms are on the second floor and will require stairs to access them. Other things to note If you encounter any issues upon checking in, please let us know so we can address them right away. *Both bedrooms are up a somewhat steep staircase. Those who struggle with stairs may have a hard time with this staircase.* This is a quiet neighborhood and we depend on you to help us be good neighbors! Parties are not permitted and quiet outdoor hours are 10pm to 7am. If enjoying the fire pit and outdoor space, please keep noise to a minimum in the evenings. Because of our small cleaning team, we are rarely able to accommodate late check-out or early check-in. When possible we will offer a complimentary one hour early arrival, but this cannot be guaranteed in advance. The home has concrete sidewalks and a patio that access the home, but the parking area is all gravel.
