The Chalet has 3 separate, spacious Studio Suites. This Cedar, Studio-like Suite has a priv. entrance, queen-bed, full-bed, living/dining area, kitchenette & bthrm/shower. Comp. breakfast items en-Suite. WiFi/Direct TV. (Up one-set of stairs). Campfire area & a 1- hour privately-scheduled Hottub time/night. We sadly have a no-pet policy, as many Guests have allergies). We most want to reassure you that we are cleaning & disinfecting, strictly according to CDC and AirBnB Guidelines. The Cedar Suite has a Queen-bed and Full-bed: it also has a private entry, a private bath (with enclosed shower), a full kitchenette and a dining/living area. Linens and bedding are provided; towels and toiletries are provided. There is a full compliment of dishware, silverware and glassware. There is a microwave, refrigerator (with freezer compartment), coffee pot/grinder, wide-slice toaster, sink, table and chairs. (No stove/oven, due to regulations). Complimentary Gourmet coffee, natural teas and cocoa are provided (and sugar/creamers). Breakfast items are delivered to your refrigerator (freezer-compartment) prior to your arrival, for you to enjoy at your leisure in your kitchenette. There is also a s’mores making kit for you. Guests also have access to the beautiful park-like setting. There is a campfire area, with complimentary kindling and wood. The Hottub is in a private area, for private scheduling. It is located "under the stars", yet, with protection from old-growth trees. Once you are in Elbe, you just drive 7 more miles towards Ashford. (GPS is a bit sketchy at times). Ralph and I are available to share ideas about what to see and where to hike in the area. We also enjoy learning from our guests. We provide a small Welcome Notebook in your Suite, with your WiFi password, information about restaurants, sights and hikes to enjoy. We may be away, occasionally, on an errand and yet are always accessible by email, text or by calling 360-581-9492. At the same time, we are generally on-premises and look forward to meeting you. Ashford is an enjoyable, alpine community by Mt. Rainier, with a sports shop, artist shops, two small groceries, as well as, several highly enjoyable restaurants within 4 miles. We are 1/3 mile from the Mt. Tahoma Trail system and only 6 miles from the entrance to the Mt. Rainier National Park. We are only 1 1/2 hours from Seattle; yet, we are in a country-setting, by Mt. Rainier. We don't have a transit system that comes to our area. One would have to have their own auto or a rental auto. Bicyclists do come to our area, weather-permitting. We tend to have light snowfalls throughout the winter, at our Inn, but we are very close to Paradise, where there is 10 to 20 feet of snow on the ground (November through April). Many visitors also come to our Inn in the Spring, Autumn and most often in the Summer, when milder and warmer weather is sought!! There are many winter activities: guests enjoy snowshoeing, cross country skiing and sledding, in the entire area, especially November through April. (There is snow rental equipment, in Ashford, at Whittaker's Sport's Store.) Then, from May to October, there is hiking, biking and sightseeing. It is mild to warm, during these months. Many guests hike to Camp Muir, at the 10,000 foot level. Some guests even try the full ascent to the top of Mt. Rainier. Other guests truly enjoy our park-like setting and driving to Longmire and Paradise, within the Mt. Rainier National Park!!
