Description
Forget your worries in this spacious & serene place. Sacred Springs farmhouse is nestled on the Crediton Plateau & is attached to a working cattle farm . The house has been a labor of love for Dave & myself, we've restored it from an almost derelict state to a charming & comfortable farm house stay. Our property name? Dave grew up on the farm & this special place has always had its own spring water which feeds the farm dam. Even in the driest years this precious resource continued to flow. The space Sacred Springs is a 3 bedroom house that also has a lounge sofa bed, effectively sleeping 7. It boasts a beautiful well equipped kitchen which is open plan with the lounge & dining areas. Eungella is at reasonably high altitude (690mt or 2,260ft) so can be cool at times in summer and cold in winter especially at night so cuddle up & enjoy the ambiance & warmth of the small lounge fireplace. No need for aircon here, just breathe in, relax & enjoy the pure, fresh plateau air. Two beautiful bathrooms, a small laundry & mud room make this an exceptionally functional house for individuals, couples, families & small groups. Check out our photo gallery to see what we have to offer. Guest access The Farm house is still a work in progress and we have plans to add more to Sacred Springs in time. Guests are welcome to use all the facilities of the house the barbeque and currently small outdoor fire pit......a bigger and better one eventually coming so watch this space!! The front porch and yard area is a great place to relax and for the young ones to run around. We request that the area at the back of the house, back shed and cattle yards remain "no go areas" and are off limits. The cattle are curious and will come to the fences at times but we request that you do not try to feed them or get too close. If there is something as a guest you want to see or do, please ask Dave or myself and we will try to assist. Other things to note Summer: As previously mentioned, Eungella can be cool, even in summer so it is always wise to have a spare jacket/cardigan and warm pants in your packing. Winter: Winter generally brings us very cold mornings with occasional frosts, you will need warm clothes in winter. If it is an overcast day, it will be cold all day! Shops: There currently are no shops in Eungella apart from the Icecream shop at the top of the range: Eungella Breakaway Cafe. The nearest convenience store is the Finch Hatton General Store approximately 32km from Sacred Springs. The nearest Supermarket (Woolworths) is at Marian which is 44 Km away. You will need to purchase your food requirements and toiletries prior to leaving for your stay on the Plateau. Supplies in the Farm house: Small amount of tea, coffee, milk, sugar & salt and pepper. Olive oil. Detergent for handwashing dishes / detergent tabs for machine clothes washing / Dishwashing tabs for the dishwasher. Toilet paper, towels and bathmat are also provided. you will need to bring your own towels for swimming (swimming is not available on the farm) Fresh ice cubes are made by myself at the end of each clean. Eating places and pubs: The iconic Eungella Chalet / Cafe Eden / Breakaway Cafe / Broken River mountain Resort (Have their own restaurant)
