Cozy Cabin Outside Bíldudalur A perfect place to unwind – This unique cabin invites you to completely disconnect from everyday life. There is no TV or WiFi here – just you, the stillness, and the breathtaking nature all around. Cook on a gas stove, grill over charcoal. Listen to birdsong and the calls of arctic foxes. The cabin is heated with a gas oven . It has both hot and cold water, heated by a gas water heater, and 12V electricity for charging essential devices. (Phone, laptop and speakers) The space The cabin features a sleeping loft with two comfortable mattresses, as well as a semi closed-off living room with a brown sofa bed. This is the perfect place to lose track of time, reset, relax, and take in the unique mountains of the Westfjords. Sunnukot is only heated by a gas heater, and the cabin runs on 12V electricity, allowing you to charge all essential devices. Please notice that means you can not use a hairdryer or bigger appliances. You can charge your laptop, phone or speaker. There is a bathroom with a toilet and shower. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stovetop (primus). Outside, there’s a deck with a charcoal grill and there are chairs and a table if the weather allows dining outside. Staying at Sunnukot is truly something special. Guest access Sunnukot offers guests wonderful privacy, surrounded by dense shrubbery that shields the cabin from view. There are a few steps leading up to the deck at the entrance. Parking is available on a grassy patch just outside the gate. You have the house and the garden to yourself. Other things to note Sunnukot runs on 12V electricity only. The cabin is therefore not suitable for guests who rely on high-powered electrical medical equipment that requires 240V power – unless they have travel-compatible devices that can operate on 12V or batteries.
