The Captain's House

Welcome to the Captain's House – one of the most elegant and historic houses in Þingeyr. The house has four warm bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room where you can relax after a day's adventures. A bath with shower is in the downstairs toilet. But toilet on upper floor. It can be noted that there is a steep staircase to the upper floor where accommodation is. Whether you want to stay in a warm room or rent the entire house for a family, a group of friends, or a work trip – the Captain's House is a great option. The space The house is equally suitable for couples, groups of friends and families. Both individual rooms and the entire house as a whole can be rented here. Upstairs are four spacious and warm bedrooms with comfortable beds, quality linens and warm shades. Note that a staircase to the upper floor is a bit steep, which may be something to consider for people who have trouble walking or children. The lower level is the meeting point of the house – it has a well equipped shared kitchen, dining area and a cosy sitting room, ideal for relaxing after a day of traveling. The bath area is also located on the lower level and consists of a spacious bath with shower over. However, we highly recommend a visit to Þingeyrar swimming pool, which is only a 5 minute walk from the house. Nice indoor pool and outdoor space with a hot and cold tub with a lovely view up to Sandafell. The Captain's House is within walking distance of all the main attractions that Þingeyri has to offer. Popular attractions like the Simba Palace, serving coffee, Belgian waffles, and art-shooting vibes are just a short walk away.
