Nestled beside nature but close to the city, Lorikeet Lodge offers the perfect mix of bush serenity and comfort. With mountain bike trails at your doorstep, a swimming hole nearby, chickens in the garden, and peaceful decks to unwind on, it’s a place to relax, explore, and feel at home. The space 🐾 Please Note: There are two dogs free on the premises. They’re well behaved and friendly and may approach guests. If you’re not comfortable with dogs, this may not be the right property for you. There are gates to prevent them from coming onto your deck. Lorikeet Lodge is self contained and attached to the main house. It has its own private front door and private deck. There is no internal access to the main house. As the property is also our home, we do not allow parties. We ask that guests park on the road opposite the Airbnb. You may use the top of the driveway to unload your bags. Please always keep the gate closed to ensure the safety of animals. The pathway to the front door includes steps and gravel. There are young children in the main house (a toddler and a baby). While we try our best to minimise noise, you may hear them from time to time. Guests are welcome to wander the garden, say hello to the chickens, and pick fruit from the trees when in season. Our lovely neighbours also sell fresh local honey. We’re located right on the walking and mountain biking trails, with bike washing facilities at the house. There’s also a swimming hole just 400m away — perfect for an afternoon dip and equipped with BBQ areas. There is a picnic blanket, small picnic set and beach towels available. Paddleboards are available to borrow — please ask! Travelling with kids? We’ve got you covered. Guests are welcome to borrow a travel cot, high chair, tricycles and toys. Enjoy a good book? We offer book swap - simply pick your next read and leave one in its place for the next book lover to enjoy. Guest access Lorikeet Lodge is a private, self-contained apartment attached to the main house, offering you complete independence and comfort throughout your stay. You'll enjoy exclusive access to: A private bedroom with fresh linens A spotless bathroom stocked with essentials A fully equipped kitchenette featuring an air fryer, stovetop hobs, microwave, and washing machine Your own lounge area for relaxing or working (with Koala sofa/queen size bed) A private deck ideal for morning coffees or sunset drinks You'll have full use of your space — no shared indoor areas — so you can unwind in peace while still enjoying the charm of a family-friendly property in nature. Other things to note A charge of $20 will be apply if a key is lost or taken home with you. A bottle of wine is provided for stays of 2 nights or more only.
