Our classic 1870s Victorian Farmhouse offers comfortable accommodations for up to 20 people with 7 bedrooms upstairs and one ADA bedroom downstairs. The main floor includes a large living area with a wood stove, formal dining room, a music room, and full kitchen. The space Step into the charm of Mendocino’s past in this beautiful and iconic 1870s Farmhouse, offering the perfect blend of history, comfort, and natural beauty. Located at Jug Handle Creek Nature Center, the Farmhouse is ideal for family gatherings, retreats, and group getaways. With 8 bedrooms (7 upstairs, 1 ADA Accessible bedroom downstairs) and 4 bathrooms (2 with showers), the home comfortably sleeps up to 20 guests. The spacious main floor features a large living area with a cozy wood stove, a formal dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen ready for group meals. While cell service can be spotty out here on the coast, and there are no televisions, the Farmhouse does have WiFi, should you feel the need to stay connected. Guests can walk to Jug Handle State Reserve and Beach, where forest trails meet the ocean. The Reserve’s world-famous Ecological Staircase showcases five distinct terraces shaped over half a million years - a literal step back in time and a must-see for nature lovers! Please note: We regret that we can no longer allow dogs or pets of any kind at Jug Handle Creek Nature Center. Our commitment to our local wildlife is strong, and protecting the creatures and critters who inhabit this special place is our priority. Thank you for understanding. Guest access Jug Handle Creek Nature Center comprises the Farmhouse, a Bunkhouse with four guest rooms and classroom, 3 cabins, 2 cottages, and an 11 site campground... all tucked into the trees and overlooking the ocean on 33 beautiful acres. We hope you'll enjoy bumping into other guests and making new connections while you're here! You'll find trails on the property that will lead you to both the beach and the Ecological Staircase. You are welcome (and encouraged!) to come wander, explore, and delight in nature! Other things to note The Mendocino Coast is the perfect place to unplug. Cell phone reception can be spotty, and there are no televisions here at Jug Handle, but we do have WiFi if you'd like to stay connected. WiFi information is posted in the rooms. Texts will often work better than calls.
