You’ll find plenty of spots to relax, a few things to do, and a lot of space to just enjoy being outside. Cornhole boards are out if you’re up for a game—otherwise, it’s all yours to enjoy at your own pace. Set on 4 acres along the St. Lucie Canal, the property has a front-row seat to one of Florida’s most interesting waterways, connecting across the state through Lake Okeechobee. A dock is planned for late summer/fall 2026, adding future access by boat and a place to fish right from the property. ⸻ The Pole Porch This is where everyone seems to land. A covered, open-air space with a long table, griddle, and pizza oven—easy for anything from pancakes in the morning to dinner at night. Once the string lights come on, it’s a hard place to leave. ⸻ Hammocks Along the River Under the oak trees by the water, a few hammocks are set for slowing down. Good for a nap, or watching the boats go by. Once the dock is in, this will be one of the best spots to keep an eye on the water. ⸻ Adirondack Seating Area A set of Adirondack chairs gathered around a small table makes an easy spot to sit, have a drink, and catch up. Cornhole boards are set nearby if you’re in the mood for a little friendly competition. ⸻ Fire Pit Evenings tend to circle back here. It’s a simple place to wind down, make s’mores, or just enjoy being outside once it cools off. Fire pit is available most of the year. During summer months it may be stored, but we’re happy to bring it out—just ask. Please note that county burn bans sometimes apply and would limit use. ⸻ Saucer Swing Tucked into the trees, the saucer swing usually turns into a favorite. Kids love it, but it doesn’t take long before everyone gives it a try. ⸻ Elevated Garden Area A small raised garden grows whatever the season allows—herbs, greens, a few extras. A watering can sits on the porch if you feel like giving it a drink while you’re here. ⸻ Zip Line Starting near the riverbank, the zip line runs across the grass for a short, fun ride. ⸻ Porch Swings The hammock swings are hung from the porch beams and are easy places to sit for a bit and slow the day down. Guest access The River House is reserved exclusively for the 4 overnight guests listed on the reservation. Other things to note Guest Policy The River House accommodates up to 4 overnight guests max. 🐞 A Note About Nature Thank you—and don’t forget to bring your bug spray 🙂. This is a charming farmhouse property located across from the sugar canes and beside the river, so you may encounter a few friendly bugs during your stay. ✨ Extra Sleeping Option ✨    •   🛏️ There is not a second bedroom, but an air mattress is available.    •   🔌 The mattress has an automatic pump — just plug it in and it inflates for you.    •   📦 For your convenience, the air mattress and extra bedding are stored in a large basket in the family room.    •   🧺 Sheets are in the cubby in the master bedroom.    •   🛋️ The second sleeping room is actually the living room where the queen size air mattress can fit comfortably.
