The space Welcome to your private oceanfront hideaway on Nova Scotia’s Atlantic coast. The Leaper Lodge estate covers more than 50 acres of natural landscape, roughly the size of 30 football fields. With 1,640 feet of private shoreline, woodland, open meadows and secluded trails, it offers an exceptional setting for quiet moments, outdoor activities and time by the water. Set in a remote location near Sherbrooke, the Lodge combines an off grid experience with modern comfort. A powerful 6 kW solar system and 20 kWh battery storage provide the property with electricity. Water comes from a private deep well and passes through a modern treatment system. Professional laboratory testing in July 2026 confirmed that the water is suitable for drinking, cooking, coffee and tea. The main house offers approximately 2,150 square feet of living space. At its heart is a spacious open plan living and dining area overlooking the Atlantic and the mouth of the St. Mary’s River, together with a fully equipped kitchen. Several split levels accommodate three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an additional lower level living area with a wood stove. A washer and dryer are available in a separate utility room. The 320 square foot wellness house sits directly by the coast. It features a sauna crafted from Canadian Western Red Cedar, a wood stove, an open shower area, two loungers and space for yoga or exercise. Just a few steps away, the wood fired hot tub invites you to relax outdoors. Watch the sun rise over the Atlantic in the morning, then enjoy the rich colours of the evening sky above the St. Mary’s River. After dark, the hot tub becomes a wonderful place for stargazing. Sauna towels and bathrobes are provided for your stay. The true luxury of Leaper Lodge is not excess, but freedom, seclusion and the character of a deeply personal place. Behind the locked garage, you’ll find a covered wood storage area with firewood for the sauna stove, hot tub, and the wood stoves inside the house. Other things to note Good to know about the location Leaper Lodge is intentionally remote – located at the very end of a 15 km gravel/forest road that leads from Highway No. 7 to the property. The drive takes around 25 minutes and is part of the unique lodge experience: a transition from everyday life into the stillness and vastness of nature.
