Perched on a quiet rise above the Atlantic, The Smuggler's Nook is a brand-new, one-bedroom cottage designed for those who seek peace, beauty, and nearby opportunities to experience nature. Whether you simply want to relax and enjoy the view, or you'd like to visit the nearby sand beaches, take the opportunity for a short or extended coastline hike, or experience the 100 Wild Islands. There is something for everyone on the Eastern Shore! The space Our brand-new cottage sits on it's own property near our home. While we are close, you can enjoy peace and solitude unless you need us. The entire cottage and immediate outdoor space is yours- please enjoy! And take in the beautiful view in our newly installed hot tub! Please note that because this cottage is brand-new, we are still working on making the outdoor space beautiful. While the natural beauty of the Atlantic speaks for itself, the yard is a work in progress! Guest access You have full access to the cottage! Other things to note As the cottage is on well water, we will supply some bottled water for your arrival. The cottage is situated on a turn, so please use caution when using the driveway. If you'd like to have a campfire, you'll find kindling and newpaper in the yellow salt box outside, a lighter in the island drawer, and firewood next to the fire pit. Please check NS Burn Restrictions Map to see if burning is allowed prior to having a fire. The Eastern Shore is Nova Scotia's hidden gem, and the view from the cottage here is spectacular. We are overlooking the beautiful islands of Shoal Bay, these islands are part of the group known as the 100 wild islands. There are absolutely beautiful beach parks on eith side of us, Taylor's Head Beach Park (10minute drive east), Clam Harbour Beach Park (20 minutes west), Martinique Beach, (30 minutes west). Martinique beach is known for its surfing and lessons are available there. Just 5 minutes away in Tangier there is a Sea Kayaking outfit Coastal Adventures that does day tours, exploring the waters and beaches of the islands you'll be overlooking. In the neighboring community of Sheet Harbour, 25 minutes to our East, you'll find amenities such as gas, groceries, nslc, restaurants such as the beautiful Henley House Pub and Restaurant. In Musqudoboit Harbour, 25 minutes to our west, you'll find similar ammenities such as gas, groceries, nslc, and small restaurants. Registration Details STR2526D7186
