A rural and rustic stay in an 85 year old farmhouse. Be at one with the wildlife, take a short 2 mile drive to the Altamaha River and launch your boat to fish. Shooting range/hunting 4 miles away at Big Hammock nature preserve. The sun rises on the front porch and sets on the back porch. A getaway from everything. The space Built in 1940 this farmhouse is nestled in a pecan orchard. Some of the pecan trees are 250 years old! This property is very rural and vintage, it’s quirky like any other old farmhouse. A spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath home. Each bedroom is fitted with a memory foam mattress and soft sheets. The bigger bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the smaller bedroom uses the bathroom in the back of the house. Please be aware of the wildlife. Wild foxes, deer, coyote, wild pigs, turkeys, rabbits, snakes, bald eagles, owls, raccoons, possum and a wide array of bird life call the property home. The huge deck is perfect for lounging in the sun, having a cool drink and watching the birds. Please note: This is a working farm and the owner may occasionally stay in a separate camper located on the back portion of the 15-acre property with a completely separate entrance, allowing guests to maintain privacy and uninterrupted use of the farmhouse and surrounding grounds. Guest access The whole space is usable. Please let me know if you have any questions. The home is on a deep well and septic system. Other things to note This is an 85-year-old rural farmhouse with character and quirks. It is not a modern or hotel-style home. We welcome hunters for the close-by WMAs. Please be respectful of our 85+ year old home and farmland we take great care in keeping an eco-friendly environment. Do not flush anything other than the septic safe toilet paper down the toilet. It’s very important. The system is old. Please don’t climb the deer stands on the property, they are off limits to guests. This is a working farm so farm things may be happening sometimes.
