Relax in our tub, grab a drink in our garden, whilst watching the stars - you might even experience the aurora overhead! Step out of the door and explore the forest, castle, observatory or pub - no car needed! The space UPSTAIRS *Large master bedroom with an enormous super-king bed, views of the castle, the forest and the garden *Second bedroom with a large king bed, views of the forest and the garden *Modern bathroom with electric shower and large bath DOWNSTAIRS *Living room with log burner and french doors out to the garden. There is also a TV, a Nintendo Wii and a collection of board games, books and maps. *Farmhouse kitchen with oak dining table and a comfy sofa. There is an electric fire and large double fridge freezer. We have a slow cooker, air fryer, microwave and electric oven. *Plenty of room to work from the comfort of the large kitchen table, if you need to log on and work from home *Boot room, with storage for boots, coats etc. There is a washing machine and dryer. *Downstairs toilet GARDEN *Large private garden *Outdoor dining table and chairs *Separate decked patio area with picnic bench *Outdoor tap, handy for washing boots and bikes PARKING *There is a space reserved on the street, right outside the front door, which will accommodate one medium sized car. For larger cars and vans, there is free parking in a car park 50 meters from our house. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire house and garden. Other things to note There is one parking space directly outside our house for 1 medium sized car. There is a free car park 50 meters away from the house for larger vehicles. Newcastle, Carlisle, the Scottish Borders are all easily accessible in 1 hour or less. You can drive to Glasgow in around 2 hours. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow can be accessed by train from Hexham or Galashiels. There is plenty to do in the area: *visit the observatory (5 minutes by car) *pub is 2 minutes walk *forest trails are 2 minutes walk *lakeside way is 2 minutes walk *castle is 2 minutes walk *axe throwing, boating, kayaking, archery and more are all available at Leaplish, on the lakeside, just 10 minutes by car *the Calvert trust high wire adventure is 10 minutes by car *within 20 minutes drive you can be in Bellingham, where you'll find unique independent shops, a museum, you can even do afternoon tea in a train carriage! Plus there are grocery shops and a Co-op *Jedburgh, Hawick and the Scottish Borders are all easily accessible by car in under an hour
