The cabin is a 2 bedroom-1 bath comfy for 2 to 4 adults fully furnished in a country style with antiques. The spacious floor plan with 720 sf plus a wide porch/balcony allows for great relaxing moments enjoying the lake and mountain views. Both bedrooms have queen size beds (pullout in 2nd room). The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, all linens, wood burning stove, porch with a barbecue and gas fireplace. From the porch you can watch birds, wild turkeys, and deer right on your land. Guests have access to the full house and land. Bicycles or other fishing gear can be stored in the basement on special request. The land (1/3 acre) hosts numerous bird feeders to observe. The patio is equipped with gas stove and BBQ for cooking and gas fire pit. Basic grocery supplies are provided. The cabin will be prepared for the stay, however the host will not be present for opening the door or during the stay. Keys are provided from a lockbox. Information on basics and entertainment are available on site. Host can help by phone or text on equipment use and best sightseeing locations. The cabin is located 1/2 mile from Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant & Resort. A small store and a tackle shop have the basics. The historic city of Julian, 15 min away, has everything you need for supplies, restaurants, evening activities. But it’s best to enjoy the moon shining on the lake at night. Because of elevation, snow can be expected from December to May when a storm hits. Snow chains recommended! About an hour's drive from San Diego, Lake Cuyamaca is a picture-book 110 acre lake situated at an elevation of 4,600 feet in an oak and pine forest. The lake is surrounded on three sides by the 26,000 acre Cuyamaca Rancho State Park that is 52% wilderness. Stocked with over 38,000 lbs of trout annualy, Lake Cuyamaca is the only San Diego lake that is able to stock trout all year long, among others bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill and sturgeon. Besides fishing, there are many activities for the whole family: hiking, boating, bird watching, duck hunting, biking, and horse back-riding. Julian is an historic gold mining town located an hour east of San Diego. It is the premier mountain retreat in the county because of the four seasons it offers. Spring brings the blossom of the daffodils, summer is perfect for hiking and star gazing, fall is famous for its apples and autumn colors, and winter brings snowfalls and crisp Christmassy days.
