The space Fox Brake House is an old cob and stone house which was originally 2 farm workers' cottages and is now a family sized home. It has low ceilings, wonky walls and a few creaky floorboards. It's down a long drive in a valley (a coombe), well away from any roads. There is parking for 3 cars in the yard, more parking can be made available on request 4 bedrooms: 2 double rooms upstairs with super king beds 1 twin room upstairs with 2 single beds 1 twin room on ground floor with 2 single beds, connecting through to a ground floor toilet and shower. 1 bathroom, shower and toilet upstairs The single beds can each be zipped together into a double (6' x 6'3) if you would prefer - please let us know when you book. There is a decent sized sitting room with wood burner and smart TV. Kitchen has aan Aga style cooker for winter months, plus a dual fuel double range, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the whole house except for one small box room upstairs which is where all the private stuff is kept, and will be locked. There is a large sloping garden and orchard with lots of conveniently distanced trees for hammocks if you have them to bring. Guests are asked to keep within the garden and orchard boundaries and not go off wandering through the fields as there are often cows and tractors about, and the land is owned the nextdoor farmer. Other things to note The place is on the side of a hill so nothing outside is flat and there are quite a few steps even within the house.
