This 1870's farm house has been thoughtfully restored to combine historic charm with modern comforts. The property sits on 4 acres with 500 feet of river front on the Maury River. It is a perfect place for relaxing, grilling and fishing. With multiple gathering areas both inside and out, this home has space for everyone in your group. The space 🛏️ The House - Smart TVs in 4 bedrooms + 65" in living room - Full kitchen: double oven, gas stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, crock pot, microwave, toaster - Grill on the back porch, propane provided - For the kids we have specific dishes and sip cups as well as a pack and play - A second living room with a fireplace - There are 4 bedrooms upstairs, 3 with queen beds and 1 with a king bed and a day bed for little ones. All bedrooms have their own private bathroom. - The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and full private bath. This bathroom has a sliding door that closes off the shower and creates a half-bath if needed for downstairs. - All bedrooms have their own mini-split heating and cooling system, for adjustable personal comfort. - Each room comes equipped with charging stations and little noise machines with a variety of sounds for a peaceful rest - Wifi throughout the house - Mud room with river towels - Full laundry room with a washer and dryer Iron, steamer and ironing board 🌄 The Property - The river beach is outfitted with a gas grill, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, fire pit, several kayaks, tubes for tubing, camp chairs and solar lights to light up your evening under the stars. - There are two fire pits in the back yard, and chairs at both ends of the property to see the incredible mountain views and the sunsets. - There is also a newly installed HOT TUB - There are plastic cups, wine glasses and margarita glasses for use at the river and in the hot tub. Additional Details: - The living room has a variety of books, board games, cards and a 65" smart TV. - Although we love our furry friends, we must have a strict no pets policy. - This is our second home, personally cared for and cleaned. Many items have significant sentimental value. - Please treat it as you would your own home. - Our home is surrounded by nature and at times, 'nature' gets into the house in the form of little bugs, like lady bugs, etc.. We do our best to keep pests out and have pest control in place but, it is their environment that we are sharing. If you spot a pest, we have a hand-vac at the ready in the laundry room to vacuum them up very quickly. - Cell service can be spotty for some carriers. With the wifi you can receive and send texts on your phone through the internet, use FaceTime and other WiFi calling platforms as usual, but you may experience difficulty making and receiving calls using only cell service. Regarding the Wifi, we have the highest bandwidth service available through our provider but it can be limited due to our remote location. We have also installed the latest router system available. When we have a full house of 10-12 people, it is helpful to log out of devices when they are not in use. When multiple folks are using Wifi on their phones, lap-tops, and iPads, it can slow it down. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire home and property, including the riverfront beach, fire pits, and outdoor seating areas. - All outbuildings on the property are privately owned and will be locked — no guest access permitted. - Behind the property are stone ruins of an old barn (not on our land). These are off-limits due to potential hazards like bricks, nails, and sharp objects. - A seasonal pond along the north west border of the property may hold water at times. This area is off limits to all guests We want you to enjoy the space fully while staying safe — thank you for respecting these boundaries. Other things to note - All outdoor and river activities are at your own risk. - Children must be supervised at all times - Guests must sign a liability waiver before using river equipment. - Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) are required for kayaking and are provided. - Return all river gear (PFDs, paddles, tubes, toys, kayaks) after use as found. - Designated river towels from the mudroom are provided. - Plastic glassware and paper plates for outdoor and hot tub use are in the laundry room.
