Moon River Retreat

Welcome to Moon River Retreat! The space Moon River Retreat represents why people come to Maine! We are situated on the banks of the Union River in the tidal section where the ocean meets the river. We sit among a lush backdrop of massive pine, cedar and balsam trees. You will see the classic rise and fall of the ocean tides in the river! You will see abundant wildlife and smell the Maine air! Eagles and Osprey are frequent visitors to our trees where you can watch them fish from the windows of our home. Seals frequently swim up the river from the ocean and there are dozens of other birds in our sky! Moon River Retreat was very uniquely built with each side of the home sitting perfectly North-South-East-West for those guests who want to easily track the stars at night and to watch the full moon through the master bedroom windows. You relax and hear the flow of an adjacent stream next to the property. Our property has dozens of very mature perennials which bloom from early spring to fall so there will always be something colorful for you to enjoy including a wall of fragrant roses near our seating area and fire pit. Open the windows, feel the breeze and smell the Maine air and experience Moon River Retreat! Guest access Guests have access to the entire property. Other things to note Please note that the garage is not available for guest parking, and the propane fireplace in the living room is not for guest use. The sunroom, where the pull-out couch is located, is a lovely space but may not be comfortable for sleeping during the colder winter months due to lower temperatures.
