There are two portable units, and two wall-mounted units strategically placed in the sleeping areas to help provide comfort during your stay. This scenic lake also offers picnic areas, a playground, seasonal store, and even kite surfing! (A Discovery Pass is required for parking.) 🎿 Winter Wonderland – Just 30 minutes from Stevens Pass, this cabin is a dream for skiers, snowboarders, and snowshoers. You can also enjoy cross-country & snowshoeing trails and sledding areas closer to the lake and in Plain! 🌲 Local Charm – Explore Plain for a grocery stop, ziplining, cozy dining, ski trails, snowmobiling, & sleigh rides or head to the Bavarian-themed town of Leavenworth for breweries, wine tasting, shopping, and seasonal festivals. WHAT'S NEARBY: ~15 mins to Plain Grocery, hardware store, Old Mill Café, Plain Valley Ski Trails ~15 mins to Leavenworth Ziplines, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours and horseback riding ~10 mins to Kahler Glen Golf Resort & restaurant ~10 mins to Coles Corner (gas station and a few restaurants/cafes) ~30 mins from downtown Leavenworth ~30 mins to Steven’s Pass THINGS TO KNOW There is limited to no cell service at the home and when you are traveling towards the home. We suggest you download google maps offline, and plan to connect to the WiFi as soon as you arrive. WiFi details are found in the welcome packet. If you are arriving later in the evening or after dark, we strongly suggest you pack/purchase groceries prior to arrival. The cabin is ~30 mins from downtown Leavenworth. Just Plain Grocery & Gas is approx. 15 mins and is typically open 8am-7pm, with hours subject to change. Because this home is located in the Cascade Mountains, wildlife sightings are expected and part of the mountain experience. Guests commonly see deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, and other small wildlife, and occasional sightings of black bears, coyotes, and cougars can occur—typically during evening or nighttime hours. Please help us keep wildlife wild by not leaving food or garbage outdoors and keeping dogs leashed while outside. Bear sightings are possible and they love trash! **NOVEMBER TO APRIL** We can’t stress enough that snow tires, all-wheel-drive and chains are necessary to get to this home during the winter season. It is important to monitor road conditions for any mountain pass that you will be traveling over. **Please note, under RCW 46.37.420, drivers must carry tire chains when traveling through designated chain-up zones during winter weather. This regulation helps improve traction and prevent accidents on snowy and icy roads. PROPERTY RULES: 1. Max Occupancy: 8 guests, all ages 2. Max number of vehicles: 4 vehicles (trailers included) 3. Quiet Hours: 9pm-8am (Sun-Thu) & 10pm-8am (Fri-Sat) 4. Trash shall not be left outside of provided trash receptacles 5. Renters will follow all and any county mandated burn bans PROPERTY VIOLATIONS AND/OR COMPLAINTS MADE BY NEIGHBORS CAN RESULT IN ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: 1. $250 fine per violation (thousands more for burn ban violations) 2. Forfeit of guests’ damage deposit and/or refundable property fee 3. Immediate eviction 4. Homeowners & hosts may lose their permit to operate Chelan County Vacation Rental Permit: #000406 PETS ALLOWED: We allow dogs only, a max of two dogs for a $150 per dog pet fee. Please review rental agreement and welcome packet for more details about bringing dogs. PARKING, BOATS & TRAILERS We can accommodate up to 4 vehicles (boat/jet ski/snow mobile trailers are included in this count). There are two driveways for parking that can allow you to park by the front entrance and down below by the back entrance. In the winter months, only the driveway to the front entrance will be available for parking. **RVs and RV trailers are not permitted CAMERAS & RECORDING DEVICES: For security purposes, there are three outdoor cameras that overlook the main entrance points to the home, back of the house and hot tub. Cameras are there to help monitor weather, potential wild animals and for guests' safety. There are no indoor cameras. **Tampering with cameras is immediate cause of eviction. GUEST / BOOKING REQUIREMENTS: 1. Primary renter must be 25+ years of age and MUST be staying at the property for the complete duration of the booking 2. Rental agreement must be signed after booking is accepted and provide valid ID 3. $500 security hold is required and will be placed 2 days prior to arrival and released 7 days after departure, if no issues are reported. *Please note we are API Connected to a hotel-style software called OwnerRez to safely and securely take off-platform security deposits More information will be provided in our Rental Agreement and Welcome Packet. Other things to note For the comfort of all guests and in accordance with insurance liability and the Chelan County vacation rental code, NO visitors are allowed if this EXCEEDS the home’s maximum guest and vehicle count. This includes vendors such as private chefs, hair stylists, makeup artists, and similar services. A $250 fine per person/vehicle per day will be applied. This home is designed for relaxation, connection, and quiet enjoyment—not for parties or large, loud gatherings. Please note that no parties or events are permitted. Guests are welcome to celebrate responsibly, but this is not a home for loud music, heavy drinking, or late-night noise. The neighborhood values peace and privacy, and we ask that all guests do the same so everyone can enjoy their time in the mountains.
