Relax-tu, The Elephant Room

Welcome to our cozy and inviting suite! We’re so glad you’re here. While your suite offers privacy, there are a few shared spaces throughout the property that you’ll have access to, including the kitchen, entrance, and some outdoor amenities like the swimming pool, balcony, and barbecue area. Our goal is to create a welcoming and easygoing atmosphere where you can enjoy a peaceful retreat or connect with others as you wish. The space Pumzika-tu, meaning ‘just relax’ in Swahili, brings peace and serenity to your stay. Ideal for families, romantics, lone wanderers, and corporate teams alike, this magical destination offers you relaxation and adventure to meet your desires, set against some of Kenya’s most hidden treasures. Leave the comfort of your bed if only for breakfast above the clouds, an aperitif overlooking the elephants, or a romantic candle-lit meal. The Pumzika-tu staff are on hand to create your dream vacation, and to help you craft memories you’ll treasure forever. We look forward to inviting you to a home truly unlike any other. As monkeys wander through your garden, elephants sip from the Pumzika-cliff pool that we fill down at the cliff, and the aromas of fine food provided by the chef, you will know you have found a new home. Guest access The main house and gardens are exclusively yours. Besides the kitchen, we also have outdoor amenities (including the swimming pool, balcony, and barbecue area), which are shared with other guests. Other things to note Treat the place like your own and make sure you make yourselves at home. The place is very airy so you can smoke in the sitting room and balcony but please not the bedrooms. You may certainly bring your pets. Don't forget to put bananas on the balcony posts in the evening to attract the pretty and gentle bush babies. And don't forget to count all the different birds you will see. Look out for our resident Monitor Lizard on the rocks. He is sweet and lazy and likes to sun himself.
