The space The Penthouse Studio is your private, secure, spacious bolthole for exploring all Wellington has on offer: cafes, arts events, and restaurants. It is an a quiet place for one or a couple to rest and refresh while taking in Wellington’s ambience or working on a project in the capital. There are art works to enjoy, and a balcony to take in the fresh air, city views in morning or evening sun with your coffee or tea. Situated in the heart of the CBD, next door to the famous Boulcott Street Bistro, this quiet bespoke accommodation offers you easy walking distance to Te Papa, Wellington’s waterfront, Plimmer Steps, the Opera House, Lambton Quay, Willis Street and Cuba Street. The Penthouse Studio is on the top floor in a business building, and one of two penthouse apartments. The hosts and longtime owners have the only other apartment on the 7th floor with the remaining floors being business tenants, so being quiet and respectful is valued. The galley kitchen has a microwave, mini hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a washing machine and dryer for longer term guests. There is tea, coffee and milk for your arrival. Pantry supplies are salt and pepper. The Penthouse Studio is sleek and designed for comfort, with cream tiles in the bathroom and kitchen and black carpet, and textured floor to ceiling curtains. The queen bed has luxurious linens and an electric blanket and is made for a sound night’s sleep after a busy day of city explorations. There is unlimited Wifi and Netflix to stream your favourite shows. There’s plenty of reading material for quiet moments. Details of the lock box containing a fob for afterhours entry and lifts, and key to the studio will be sent to you the day of your arrival. Please leave the key and fob in the studio when you leave and lock the door behind you. Other things to note The Penthouse Studio is not suitable for children, bikes or pets due to the shared aspect of the building. Parking There is a car parking building over the road, but being so centrally located you can walk absolutely everywhere. If you do decide to explore further, the Wellington buses are terrific and prolific with stops in Willis Street, and Lambton Quay, or you can take the train up the Kapiti Coast, or over to the Wairarapa. Guest access There is a lockbox is at the front door, and fob and key gives electronic afterhours access to the front doors, lift and key to your own studio. Please leave the key in the studio when you leave and lock the door behind you. There is a cafe at the ground floor open Monday to Saturday. Businesses operate on the other floors during working hours. There is a parking building over the road in Gilmer Terrace.
