Traditional Japanese Guesthouse on Yuge Island

Yuge Island, located in the heart of the Seto Inland Sea, is gaining popularity among cyclists as part of the "Yumeshima Kaido" route. The peaceful atmosphere and scenic beauty of the surrounding islands make it a captivating destination. A 90-year-old traditional house, filled with local memories, has been transformed into a private vacation rental. We hope you can take your time and enjoy your stay as if you were living on the island! The space ・There are two bedrooms. On the first floor, we provide four sets of mattresses and futons in a Japanese-style room. On the second floor, there is a Western-style room with two single beds. ・The house is an old building that retains traditional sliding doors and fixtures. Since they are not as sturdy as modern ones, please handle them with care. Additionally, please note that some doors may not open or close smoothly (if you need assistance, feel free to ask). ・There is a TV in the living area, but terrestrial TV broadcasts are not available. You can use it as a monitor, or connect to the internet to enjoy subscription services like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. ・There is no parking available on the property. Please use the available spaces near Kamiyuge Port. ・You can use the washing machine free of charge. Detergent and fabric softener are provided. Please note, however, that there is no dryer function available. Guest access This is a private, whole-house rental available for one group only, so you can enjoy all areas of the property as your own private space. *Please note that the storage shed near the entrance is used by staff for storing supplies and cleaning equipment, and it is locked. Additionally, there is a building in the courtyard that used to be a bathhouse, but we kindly ask that you refrain from using it, as it is old and in a deteriorated condition. Other things to note This facility is located in a quiet residential area. Please refrain from making loud noises or voices after 8:00 PM.
