Ty Nain: Welsh hillside welcome

Ty Nain (which means Grandmas house in Welsh) is our beautiful Welsh long cottage, nestled into the foothills of the Clwydian Range. It’s the perfect to place to rest after a long day hiking Offas Dyke, a base to explore north east Wales or just to relax & unwind. The views across the valley mean you can see as far as Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and views of the Irish Sea (on a clear day!). The two bedroom cottage bungalow is an annexe to our family home, with its own private entrance & decking area. The space Ty Nain is over 150 years old, and has been our family for over 100 years. Fear not, the Welsh stone long cottage has been fully renovated and comprises two bedrooms (one with a double and the second with a 3/4 size bed). There is a modern bathroom, with over-bath shower. The living room has a kitchenette with oven, microwave and sink, as well as a fridge with small freezer. Guest access Guests will have private access to the full Property, including outdoor decking area. Ty Nain has its own private entrance, separate to the main house. Please note: there are a few steps to enter the property, handrails are provided, but there is no wheelchair access. Other things to note There is an outbuilding you can access to store any walking equipment or dry things after a long day in the hills. Bikes can also be locked away safely in this space. Please note the composite decking was replaced in 2025, so no BBQs are permitted as it will damage the decking, but if you’re keen to grill outside let us know and we’ll highlight suitable spots. We can accommodate well behaved dogs, but as we’re a small property have put a limit of one pet. If you have questions about this do get in touch :)
